Tia and her salon came very highly recommended when I was looking for a place to take my 3yr old daughter for her first hair trim. I am Caucasian and my daughter is half Caucasian have black Nigerian. I was wanting to get her hair trimmed and hoping to get some advice on caring for her hair. Tia set up a consultation time and my daughter and I arrived at the salon right at our appointment time. When we arrived the salon was packed, Tia was working with a client and rather rudely asked if she could help me. I explained that I had an appointment for a consultation for my daughter and she told me to have a seat and she’d be with us shortly. She barely even glanced at my daughters hair, didn’t touch it or anything and told me that it did not need a trim but needed conditioning and we set up an appointment to do that and put it in twists. My daughter and I arrived on time for our appointment to find Tia busy with another client. We waited over an hour for her to start on my daughters hair. Tia was not very friendly or welcoming, not making any conversation during this wait. When washing my daughters hair she was very rough which made my daughter cry and she told us that my daughter needed to be quiet because there was a facial going on. While washing her hair she realized that my daughter did in fact need a trim. I feel like she should have seen this during the consultation. She then asked if I had ever straightened her hair. I said no because I didn’t want to use heat. Tia then explained that she would just blow dry her hair straight. The whole time she was extremely rough, pulling my daughters hair. The appointment ended with my daughters hair being straightened and put in a ponytail which got frizzy and messed up the moment I put her in her car seat. I never felt likeTia listened to my concerns or desires. I felt like she was not gentle or compassionate to my daughter. I did not feel like my time was valuable. I believe that Tia is very good at what she does but my experience was not a good one.

Positive atmosphere. Santia respects your time so you don't sit in the salon waiting for hours. She listens to the client, and her love if natural hair is reflected in her work.

Was recommended by several people.  I needed a fix to my damaged post partum hair.  I had loss all a great deal of hair near my temple area and edges and my hair was harder to managed due to it being so brittle.  So after much thought, I decided to go with a taper cut.  Tomika was my stylist, very nice and set me up with an appointment.   On the day of my appointment I and the stylist arrived on time.  She took the time to look at the state of my hair and gave her recommendations.  She cut of the sides and then washed and conditioned  me.  Then she started the shaving process.  At first she was finished without actually styling the rest of my hair, after telling her I did want a style she perm rodded it.  She's an easy person to talk to and i was in and out relatively quick.   Unfortunately I did have to wash my hair again because of all the shed hair that was left over (it was driving me crazy on my skin) from the shaving and thats when I noticed that the rest of hair was uneven in some places, so I ended up trimming some of those areas.  The shop had a barber.  It was pretty clean.  The shampoo area was a little small for my comfort but otherwise a decent establishment.   I liked the decals on the walls.  I'm thankful for my cut and hope to have a good hair journey thr 2nd time around.  For reference - I've 4c hair texture

Santia is just amazing. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find any place to do my dreads when I moved to Pensacola a year and a half ago but I stumbled upon Creative Styles Salon and have not regretted it. I even challenge her with styles I like and she is always up for the challenge.

Santia is an amazing stylist who truly cares about the health of your hair. She specializes in natural hair as well. If you're looking for someone to repair your damaged hair or to keep your locs gorgeous...she's your stylist!!!
