Story

Crossfit Ken Caryl, is located along the front range of Colorado. We train people at all levels of fitness following the philosophy of constantly varied, functional movement, performed at a high intensity. Our classes infuse a unique combination of body weight movements, olympic lifting, power lifting and intense cardio conditioning. Conveniently located in the heart of Ken Caryl Ranch off C-470.

When my office moved in to an adjacent building, I was curious about CrossFit.  Six weeks later, I'm very glad I made that trip over to check them out.  After first meeting the owners, Chad and Jamie, I felt comfortable and wanted to give it a shot.  I took them up on their one-free class offer followed by my first month being 50% off the standard rate.  I'm now going three times per week and really enjoying every minute.  The coaches are really focused on everyone, but also pay special attention to new folks like me to ensure safety and solid form.  There's no pressure to perform to any standard beyond what you're personally able to do, although the fellow members are supportive and motivating.  I'm happy to be there.

My husband and I went from couch to CrossFit and I'm not gonna lie, it's intense (in a good way ;)). But it is so amazing and worth it. We started about two months ago and have regretted nothing. The coaches are incredibly helpful and well trained and the members are so supportive and make you feel part of a family. I HATED working out before CrossFit Ken Caryl and now I actually really look forward to going to the gym.

The coaches are very friendly and approachable. The facility is well kept, clean and full of all the equipment you could need. The workouts are well programmed, challenging and even fun. 
The members are welcoming to all new members, regardless if they are at their first class ever or a seasoned pro.

Here's what I love about Crossfit Ken Caryl: 
1) programming is smart. Safety comes first when learning new lifts. Proper technique is nailed down before heavy plates are added to the bar. Also there is a very good amount of warm up before workouts and special attention placed on the shoulder warm up. Chad is smart about programming WOD's and keeping his clients safe,esp newbies like me.
2) everyone has been super welcoming! It can be super intimidating walking into a Crossfit box having no idea whats what. You'll make friends here.

Crossfit Ken Caryl is a great gym for first time crossfitters. I got back in to Crossfit after having 2 babies and all the coaches were great working with my limitations. This gym takes the scariness out of the olympic lifts and lets me get the best workout for me.
