Absolutely do not recommend. On several occasions while there was indeed money to cover the debit, they declined it. But wait there's more, after declining the payment and me leaving without my purchase it showed up on my bank account! So we call and they lied to us about it all and proceeded to keep a hold on our money for at least 10 days! Now, most recently when they declined payment (with funds indeed there to cover it), I went ahead and wrote a check instead. Guess what? It showed up pending in my account again. I shouldn't be too surprised at these dirty, lying, cheats. I called the place I wrote the check, luckily they have not deposited it yet but did again confirm that the debit was indeed declined on their end. Called CSE, they did not care, they said it was approved and intend on playing games with OUR money again! This was for a very large purchase. This credit union is full of dirty, lying, thieves. They do whatever they can to try to get fees since we never give them a reason to. I think it's time to find a real financial institution... AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Looking for a small community credit union but still want to be treated like some broke nobody EVERY TIME you need your financial institution? Well CSE is the place for you! I walked into CSE several years ago with bad credit and low income. In this time i have paid off TWO loans EARLY with no late payments,have amassed a few thousand in my savings account,doubled my reported income,not to mention i own my home and have the same steady employment. THEY STILL ACT AS THOUGH I AM UNTRUSTWORTHY AND CANT/DONT PAY MY BILLS!

I have been with CSE for over a year and have no complaints whatsoever. It's always been a very professional atmosphere. The employees are very courteous and knowledgeable, taking their time to answer questions.

At a time when most banks are being forced by public pressure to move away from hidden fees, CSE remains unscrupulous in their dealings. I hope the $45 was worth it. How institutions like this, and by extension their employees, don't feel sh**ty about their place in our community, is beyond me. "You should have been familiar with the fine print ...I had a similar experience myself, and consider it a 'stupid tax'," the account manager said. The penalty was for "account inactivity." A penalty because i had not done anything with the savings account in more than 12 months. Any reasonable person would call it stealing. If you want to deal with bottom feeders in our community, CSE is ready to take your money.
