We had a wonderful experience with Cuba Travel Adventures, spending 8 days in the Cuba. Manny Kopstein, the agency's owner, spent much time on the phone with us, listening to our interests and wishes, and then putting together a travel itinerary customized to our needs. He arranged for us to spend "quality time" visiting with educated native Cubans expert in their field; he selected beautiful and fascinating places for us to visit and tour, and found activities meaningful to us that we will always remember. The pace was just right for us; every day was packed with amazing new experiences, but we never felt rushed and there was as much (or little) downtime as we wanted. Manny's long personal experience and comfort in Cuba clearly showed, as he made the arrangements. Once we arrived, our constant guide (Daniel) was warm and engaged - and VERY honest about his own life and perceptions in Cuba! Almost all our guides and experts spoke excellent English (though our home-stay hosts did not); and Daniel was happy to translate freely when needed. Daniel and his manager in Cuba, Ernesto, were able to manage last-minute changes and requests easily. Once we returned, we recommended Cuba Travel Adventures to friends, who also returned raving about their experience. We really got a flavor and deep insight into the life of Cuba. Highly recommended!

Incredible tour company, I would send everybody their way. We spent 5 days in Cuba, had a private guide and driver with us the entire time who were friendly, personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and overall just really enjoyable to spend time with. We could not have envisioned a better experience with the two of them. Have traveled extensively using tour groups, and these guys are top notch. Helped blow our Cuba expectations out of the water. They also include all meals and activities and everything in the cost, which I really appreciated (and its very reasonably priced!) 5 stars for sure.

Dear Friends of Cuba, We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary, and it was always our dream to go to Cuba - the lush nature, the architecture, the music and the old world feeling of Havana.. Thanks to Caroline, who helped with patience and dedication to plan our trip. Our stay in Cuba turned out even better due to our expert guide, Mileni, and our able driver, Reynel. Both accompanied us step by step. They fulfilled our every wish, there was good communication and harmony throughout, and it was no wonder we became friends. This made our visit to Cuba unforgettable. And the program was well thought out, full of variety and discovery thanks to Ernest. The restaurants were delectable, open air settings as well as family encounters, and the food was to our liking. Bnb accommodation met with our expectations. Some of the highlights of our travel: sitting in a romantic spot watching the mogotes mountain range at sun set, horse back riding and swimming in the ocean. And what made our journey special, Mileni and Reynel joining our adventure with joy and love. We can only recommend this travel arrangement to all, who love culture and nature. Wilbur & Hansa May

Coming from a family owned business I was shocked at the turnout of this trip. The owner, Manny over promised and underdelivered. It was overall a very poor experience with a few highlights. We saw Cuba through a bus window. The tour guides did the best they could given the situation they were put in. For being "specialists", specially the owner, should know when places are closed due to the mourning of Castro's death or the new year holiday.. They tell you to be flexible, which we were prepared for and are very much flexible. The issue is that when you visit 2 or 3 sites the entire week when you were told you'd see 10-12 different things, you should not be paying $5000. I was in an overwhelming size group of 30 people to this custom itinerary, which I realize is a lot of people, however this wasn't a surprise to the company. This was planned more than 6 months in advance and the situations of things being closed would have happened if we were a group of 5, 15, or 30! We would drive 3 hours to a destination and the place would be closing or we would not have reservations or tickets.. it was very confusing and disappointing.. I would travel back to Cuba to see the beautiful beaches & famous sites, but I would strongly recommend not going around a holiday and definitely not through this agency. Its a shame because Raoul and Ceaser (tour guides) are such nice people and so interesting, however Manny was very rude at times and hard to be around. Leaving us with comments such as, "if you have a lot of issues you need to get some tissues".. very unprofessional.

-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The tour was sold on the premise of New Years Eve in Havana Square with five course meal and local music and dancing, fireworks etc. I spoke to a local on New Years Eve about the celebration in the square and he told me that they hadn't had a celebration in the square for years. This is fraudulent in promoting the trip in this fashion. Then a week before the trip tell us it it unsafe in the square when actually there was no such event. - We were visiting a Caribbean Island and spent the most beautiful part of the day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on a bus for 6 hours. And Saturday, Sunday and Monday 6 hours in dark restaurants with little to no time to explore. -Going to places that are closed such a a state park at dusk, art museums, cemetery, restaurants. It is the tour company responsibility to make prior arrangements with each venue to alert them that 30 people would be arriving at a given time. It also appeared that the cemetery was open and we were lied to it being closed. Other groups and individuals were paying and entering the cemetery. -Arriving at our destinations after dark so we were not able to seeing anything even through the windows of the bus. -Seeing Cienfuegos solely through the windows of a bus. -Waiting on the street in Trinidad for 45 minutes for guide to escort us to dinner. -The guides have little or no knowledge of history, culture and lacked information even when prompted by Ginny or Denise. -The guides have no experience or expertise in moving a group place to place. The check in at each town was horrendous confusion. - Many of the casa's were subpar for the amount of money we paid. I did not learn much about Cuba and experienced a holiday filled with frustration and confusion.
