Definitely worth going here! Staff was extra helpful and friendly, atmosphere was very cool. Food was yummy. Would recommend the blueberry lemonade. They make it with fresh lemons and blueberries. It is sour but you can ask them to make it sweet, if you prefer sweet. Gluten free options are a plenty. Some outdoor seating, but mostly indoor.
I have enjoyed eating here every time I've gone. My only complaint is that a lot of the food is extremely spicy and they don't have anything to cool it. No sour cream, or yogurt. I've taken the Ramen home and eaten it with a bit of creme and it evens it out very nicely. If you like spicy food you're in for a treat, it will light your very soul on fire. The flavor is amazing.
This place was amazing! Our waitress was on point to answer all our questions about food. She recommended the Watermelon and crispy pork appetizer. It was so good! I got the Hunter Bowl and my wife got the Saimin. We shared and both were so flavorful. Bonus was that we went to a concert on a Thursday night and not much was open at 11 PM. This place is open late!
This was Awesome! I had the beef and rice noodle bowl which was great, but my son had the poke bowl with ahi tuna, which i tried a piece oh and it was the freshest ahi tuna ive had on the mainland! Period! The only place fresher would be Hawaii! The moko loco was on point! Great portions too! We couldnt finish, so now we have dinner too! Prices were average considering bidinflation. The service was very good considering there was only one server during the lunch rush on a Sunday. Absolutely wonderful food. We will be going back for sure!
What a fun place. The flavors in the ramen especially were over the top. Don't pass on the watermelon and pork belly salad, really good. Decent drink selection too. Check it outFood: 5/5
Food was absolutely delicious, service could use improvement. As someone who worked in the culinary industry for a good long while, I’m gonna break down each dish. Drinks: blueberry lemonade, well balanced sweetness and tartness, great presentation. Mui margarita, strong and refreshing, simple but delicious. Appetizers: lomi salmon not pictured, great flavor, could use a little more salt maybe Hawaiian black salt?, a smaller dice on the lomi salmon would be better for a sharing dish, chips are a little fragile but so good. Entrees; tonkatsu ramen, PHENOMENAL, tender pork, flavorful broth, noodles were a little too soft for me but overall 10/10. Loco moco, another WONDERFUL dish, no criticism, short ribs are perfectly braised, flavors blend and play off each other so well! As for the service, we were not particularly impressed. While this was a Friday night and this is a smaller restaurant, they were not crazy busy. Despite this, our server took a while to get to our table long enough that we were able to decide on drinks, appetizer, and entrees before she came by to take our drink order. She wasn’t rude, remembered our order without having to write it down, and also sat us pretty quickly. It’s simply that she didn’t seem very attentive, maybe she had a rough day, I’m not sure. Ultimately, we are excited to come back and tell people all about it!
That bone marrow was amazing!! The cocktails were unique and tasty. Wish I had tried out more dishes!Food: 5/5
Korean fried chicken was not worth it. It was $14 for 5 wings that were oily and not crispy. The ramen was good though. The waiting time for the food was about 20 minutes with few people.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
The chef Aaron prepared a super delicious lunch meal. Everything was so tasty. And the bartender Little was very attentive and super friendly. I will be coming here again soon! And they had nature documentaries in the background. I approve.
ABSOLUTELY 5 STARS! Culture Cafe offers a varied selection of "island" inspired dishes with a unique taste created for each. The use of fresh ingredients, paired with Asian/Indonesian inspired "relishes" makes for a dance with the senses and a mouthful of spectacular flavors. My wife and I have enjoyed the likes of the "Tempura Octopus" to the "Watermelon and Crispy Pork" OMG, and the "Market Sashimi", each unto itself a work of art and flavor. What a delight to have such a great restaurant in downtown Bellingham. Service by Peter is exceptional so how can you not want to dine here, or just grab a drink, on a weekly basis!
