Lovely 1700's home that was part of the underground railroad that helped slaves escape to the Northeast. Located in lovely Have De Grace, a great waterfront town, with lots of local restaurants, charm and hospitality.

What a horrible horrible nasty woman that owns and runs this place. I have a wedding booked and paid for six months from now in Havre De Grace and I'm concerned about accommodations for my out of town guest. When I inquired about the rooms and rates, she practically scolded me for not just looking at her website for my answers. The website has not been updated since 2011. When I requested that I would like to purchase all four of her rooms, in a very nasty voice she informed me that she will not take that request until January 1st of next year. Confused by this and now concerned there will be a mad dash for rooms come January, I very politely asked her why she does not allow bookings until the 1st. In a very nasty voice she informed me that this is her business and she will run it how she chooses. I simply thanked her for her time and hung up the phone. Now even more confused and shocked, I am just happy I was able to get a taste of this person's personality and how she conducts business before I entrusted her with my guest.

For those of you shopping, I could not have had a better experience than with Carol from the Spencer Silver Mansion. Not only were the rates a little cheaper, the online pictures show much nicer rooms. I was also able to get all my questions answered and booked all four rooms with extremely friendly service.
