I very recently decided to get into mountain biking. I didn't have a clue where to begin aside from what information I could muster online. I needed a guide and a lot of help in deciding what to buy, what to look for, what to do, etc. I originally decided to go to one of their competitors, but that competitor just happened to be closed that day for inventory, which drove me to Cycle Center where I happened to meet Rebecca. She was EXACTLY the type of person I was looking for. Very helpful and friendly but, more importantly, very knowledgeable and experienced as a cyclist. The whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable (although I'm biased towards Rebecca, she's the best lol) and there's never been a time that I've walked into the store that someone hasn't seen me, came up to me, and asked if I needed help. I did go back to their competitor the next day just to see how their store compared, but it was no comparison. All I met at the other store were sales people. They knew their product, but the information sounded as if it came from a product manual rather than personal experience from years of riding. At Cycle Center the staff sounds as if they've actually ridden a bike a few times lol. And their approach is geared more towards the betterment of your experience on the bike, rather than just selling you anything you want to buy.

What a great place! The Cycle Center us Columbia's first class facility for any cycling/cyclists. John Green is extremely trained and knowledgeable.
