Serving the CDA and Spokane area since September 2004, CycleMetrix is a full service bike shop catering to cyclists and triathletes of all levels.

Story

CycleMetrix was started in 2002 by Jim Kozak and initially focused
exclusively on bicycle fitting. Since that time, Jim's expertise and experience in bicycle fitting has continued to grow and evolve. Jim has performed over 1500 bike fits on cyclists and triathletes ranging from beginners to professionals. Besides expertise in bicycle fitting services, CycleMetrix has also grown into a full service bike shop featuring top brand bicycles, accessories, clothing, shoes, nutrition and bicycle service and repair. We can't wait for you to join the community we've built around cycling.

My experience with this small shop was neither very positive nor was it negative. I was there a few minutes after their advertised opening to a closed shop. Waited around for a bit - the owner(probably) finally opened up the shop about 20 minutes "late". They didn't have what I needed, and this is a shop I probably won't return to. Not because of anything negative, but rather because it seems they specialize in road bikes and don't seem to have much inventory (bikes, parts, etc) for trail bikes.

I live in Ohio and needed to find a bike shop I could ship my bike to for Ironman Coeur d'Alene 70.3. I looked at bike reviews and decided to give CycleMetrix (Jim) a try. He was very responsive, he asked me questions about my bike and told me when it needed to be sent. When the time approached I had my bike shop in Ohio pack up my bike and ship it to Jim. He was given a tracking number and he let me know that it arrived safely. Once he received it he had it put together for me when I arrived. He noticed that I needed to have an adjustment done on my stem and took care of it. He then explained what he did. He had me ride the bike and made a few more adjustments. He wanted to be sure the bike felt good. While in the shop I asked him about race wheels. He let me know he rents them for the race and that he had some to sell. I decided I wanted to try them. He put them on the bike for me and let me test them. He told me if I didn't feel comfortable on them he would take them off and put my set back on. He stayed in touch with me during this time to be sure they were going to work. I had a great race and loved the wheels. I purchased the wheels, Jim made some more adjustments and explained how to do some maintenance items. I left him my bike with him to ship back to me. My experience for my first Ironman 70.3 was made so much more relaxing knowing that my bike was well taken care of. Jim was great to work with and his daughter who works in the shop was also a joy to be around. I would highly recommend Jim and his shop to anyone. Thank you!!

Very professional shop, Jim's attention to detail and knowledge base is second to none, great selection and if he doesn't have it he gets it quickly. Thankful to have CycleMetrix and Jim in CDA.

If you live in the Inland Northwest this is the ONLY place to go for bike fitting, gear, and expertise. Jim has a wonderful demeanor, love his stories, and spends the time to 'do it right'. I trust him with both my Road setup and my TT/Tri setup. :)
