Mike is great to work with. We had lots of bike maintenance needs the day we spent biking on the mountain. I highly recommend his shop.

Is a great shop set in the remodeled railroad freight station, near the middle of the eighty mile long Trail of The Coeur d'Alenes. The owner is a skilled bike mechanic with a lifetime of experience providing great service at reasonable prices. Shop has new bikes, some used rental bikes, and an extensive collection of used parts, can order just about any part or bike and get it within a couple days.

This is the most helpful bike shop I know. We own recumbent trikes and go to Kellogg once a year with our 150 closest friends for a week. This bike shop is the most helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and ready to serve you. Highly recommend this shop and the bike trails there are fabulous also.

We rolled into Kellogg from Harrison intent on riding the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes for a family birthday. With seven of us in the group and no advance call, Excelsior took care of us and got us on the road--despite having just rented out to a larger group and needing to "get creative." Long and short: they got us all outfitted, including three kids, three adults (one who hadn't ridden a bike since was 12--now in his 70s), and a trail-a-bike. Extras: We weren't any the wiser, and would've paid full price, but were offered a discount because the rental bikes were not their "first choice." We ended up with a great set of bikes, however, including some Treks, a Kona for the boy, etc. We were given a patch kit and pump, and provided some basic trail information (we'd researched, but it was nice to get a little local knowledge, too). We appreciated the "here's a good spot to dip your feet in the river" type of tidbits! I would recommend Excelsior to anyone looking for a great indie bike shop that is willing to think outside the box to help you enjoy cycling. Nice work by all--and we'll be telling people all about you. Thanks for helping to make my birthday memorable!

What a wonderful bike shop! Dave's bike needed a little TLC after our ride on the beautiful Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. The shop gave us great service and quick turnaround.
