They were able get get my engine work done quickly and at a lower cost. We were told by another place that our van needed a new engine but instead of just taking our money, they were able to figure out that it needed a lot less work! They saved us thousands of dollars and lots of time! I would recommend them to anyone needing engine work! They were easy to work with and easy to reach and very informative! Great work and thanks again!

I have a 2003 Saturn Vue. I had put a lot of money into it and I thought it was running great. Then the engine died. After a long review I decided it would be cheaper to get it fixed than to buy someone else problems. I called Mike at D & S. Within no time he had my car in the shop working on it. It actually took me longer to come up with the money to pay him than it did for them to pretty much rebuild my engine. I have had the car back for a week now and it purrs like a kitten. It has never run so good. Mike was upfront and honest about everything it needed and what it would cost. He tried very hard to get my car running right and keep down the costs for me. I have already recommended them to 2 of my friends and highly recommend them to you. Update: here we are a year later and she still runs great!

Update - Listen potential customers & read the latest reviews.  Mike is a shyster with a cute excuse for everything.  Don't believe what he says, despite the few early good reviews that were probably acquaintances trying to bolster the shop's reputation.  Your experience will be abysmal and you'll be left disgruntled like the rest of us with D&S not caring a bit - but counting what was your money.  Once you take your car or engine there, you're all ready stuck.  Go somewhere else instead.  Where?  I don't know.  Just anywhere else.

To the guy who sold his car to them for $400 - of course he claims to have spent $2400 on it - that was money that they paid to themselves at the shop rate and pace which I can tell you from experience is a lot of money at a slow speed.  It racks up.  So count that $2400 as more profit.

Oh, and as for a guarantee or warranty - you'll get nothing in writing.  Just a verbal ambiguous commitment from Mike.  And as for documentation on your rebuild - just some handwritten scribble of a few specs, nothing containing the parts that were supposedly used, and nothing that you could use as a selling point to another buyer except your receipt showing the enormous amount that you spent for something that you really don't know what you have got.  Not at all what you would expect from a professional rebuilt whatsoever.

They have no respect for your budget.  They intentionally don't document specifics of a quoted project so that they can stack on extras to their advantage.  They blew past two agreed upon capped $ limits on my project without regard for notifying me until they said that I already owed them the money and was stuck into preceding according to their expensive full-blown way.  Initial assessing of the condition of your engine will tally up to around $1000 before you're informed that your deposit is consumed and little if any work was performed.  That's how you'll be hooked into continuing - you'll already have blown $1000.  Now you're pulled into doing whatever they want at whatever price they charge or you can take your disassembled motor home.  I hope that their quality is better than their customer experience.  My advice - go somewhere else, and don't fall for this "we don't know how much it will cost until we crack it open". By then, you'll already have spent $1k and be at their mercy.

Consumer beware this place is a scam! Mike and the guys are shady and cut corners to turn a profit..There shop is very old and it looks like a scrap yard inside..DONT WAIST YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Very happy with my 383 stroker build from D&S. They talked me through the options for what I wanted to do and guided me in the right direction. Couldn't be happier with the build, these guys know their stuff!!
