Dan's Grub Shack opened on August 17, 2010 under the ownership of Dan and Laurie Schwent. We serve all American comfort food ranging from our best know item the fish and chips and smash mouth burgers like the cowboy to the gyros and phillys.

I've ordered almost everything on the menu and it's all amazing. It gets hard to choose what you want when it's all good. I took my in-laws here to impress them and got some serious points. The staff are friendly and the place is clean.

A phenomenal burger! Found by searching along 101 for a burger. This places ingredients are super fresh. Lots of variety in burgers. I got an amazing burger with Linguica and jalapeños. The pictures don't do it justice. Extra points for having perfect crispy fries

Perfect burgers, great sides. This place is a hidden gem. Cozy, upbeat atmosphere. I've had a variety of dishes and have enjoyed them all. I highly suggest stopping by. It's hard to find a good diner these days.

This is my favorite place to grab a bite to eat in Atascadero. The variety is great, the food even better. The food choices are very unique and there is not a bad choice on the menu. After reading the menu, you will want to come back again and again to try even more, I'm sure you will leave satisfied. The portions are also why I love this place, I have never left without a full stomach, often with more in a to go box. The staff is always very friendly and the owner is often there who is great as well. If you are in North County, I would give this place a try.

Farmhouse burger is the best burger I've ever had! I always gorge myself and then feel sick for 3 hours afterwards. Every single time. No regrets.😝
