The danbury railway is a great place to go ESPECIALLY the holiday events. The events are GREAT for kids 7 under. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the events aren't for everyone, at least in MY opinion.

A very diverse collection of railroad history. The collection inside the station includes model railroads of various scales, photographs, documents and hardware. The external collection includes freight cars, passenger cars, locomotives' and a wood New York Central caboose. The admission charge is reasonable and donations are accepted.

Fun place to take kids. Relatively small but the history is interesting. The outside was closed when we went so we do have more to see with the rain check they gave us. Looking forward to returning.

My nephew loved it here! There was a play area for children and multiple electric powered model 🚆 s. There were train card we could visit in the yard as well. Due to the weather we'll come back and see them at another time. The guide told me that there is an event in Easter and weekend train rides.

As an adult only really good for one trip. As a parent this is a great place to take your little one and a family membership is so worth it.
