Reviews
While going through the metal detectors is a hassle regardless of the venue, I’ve found that the staff here does their job in a courteous and efficient manner. While this courthouse does not have the charm of some of the older courthouses in southern Wisconsin, I appreciate the strong wi-fi and the abundance of outlets to charge my phone and laptop. The top floors offer panoramic views of the Capitol Square and Lake Monona.

If I could give a zero I would.. All they do is take money from people who do not have it, they drag out processes and DO NOT listen to ANYTHING you say in court period. They make you pay for forms then tell you its the wrong form or it's been thrown out and that you have to file a different form and pay that filing fee. They do not pay attention to the history of cases or the well being of people. It's a VERY crooked system.

The line put me on hold for five minutes then a recorded message about when the phones are staffed, then "goodbye". I am glad I'm not a taxpayer in Dane County. Nothing angries up the blood like going through a long hold into a hangup.

Had me go all over for over an hour and a half to three different floors just to file one motion. They could not even tell me what all I had to get at once to file the motion but kept having me go back to the clerk of courts to have them tell me that I needed one more thing like three different times. I'm in a wheelchair so it was a big inconvenience.

Going through the metal detectors is a huge hassle, I understand it's there for a purpose but the guards are just so unfriendly.You can tell they don't like their jobs.
