We are a locksmith company specializing in office and facility management security issues. Since 1946 we have been helping our clients feel safe, secure and meet compliance issues with attention to aesthetic concerns.

Story

We provide locksmith services for all security needs with the exception of auto work.
Daniel Pehr, Inc. Master Locksmiths is owner operated by a 3rd generation locksmith
with 40 years experience. Originally located in 5 World Trade Center from the first day
it opened to it's tragic demise on Sept. 11, 2001, we know locks and security hardware.
Locks, keys and security items for the commercial, residential and facilities
environments are our target market. We supply install and maintain hardware to help
you feel safe in your space.
Lost Keys? Hand fitting of keys to locks and the making of keys by the number are area
we excel. Don't let someone destroy your lock just because keys are lost.

My mother bought my daughter a Pehr bucket hat in 12-24 month size and we loved it right away due to the fabric and fit. It was the only hat my daughter would keep on her head. I wanted to order an additional one in a different print and luckily the print we liked was on sale. When I received the hat, it would hardly fit on my daughter's head despite being the same hat and size as the one that she wears everyday which not only fits but has a little room to grow. The sizing inconsistency was very frustrating as I was hoping the purchase would be easy given that we had a direct sizing reference with the hat we already had. I contacted customer support to share about my experience, thinking that they would send me another hat in the bigger size no questions asked. Instead, I was told to exchange it via the returns portal. I logged in and attempted to do this, despite this not being an issue I should have to solve given it was an inconsistency with the brand/make, but did so anyway. When I attempted to exchange the hat, it said it wasn't eligible for a return or exchange and was final sale. I then contacted customer support again, and they got back to me saying I could login again and it should work. So I did so but it now said the bigger size wasn't available and "sold out". When I went to the website outside of the returns/exchanges login, it said it WAS available in the size we needed. I opted to do a store credit to use to just reorder the hat through the main page in the right size. Unfortunately, they will not let you use a store credit or refund you until they have received the original product back and they have "processed" it. I had to print a shipping label and will have to mail it back to them before getting the money back/store credit. I emailed Pehr and also provided a review when prompted re: "my customer service experience" and provided the same sentiments that I have here and never received a reply back. These items are expensive and I was expecting to be treated as a valued customer, especially given that the mistake was not mine and therefore the corrective action should not have fell on me. In the end I ended up essentially helping myself. I am super disappointed and despite loving the items, I will not be ordering anything in general again after the customer service experience I had. Parents with young children do not have the time or energy to deal with this non-sense.
