Customer services is pretty bad. It's hard to get a hold of them. As others have mentioned, there is no customer portal to edit account details and such. They erroneously created a duplicate account, sent me AND billed me for product I explicitly told them I did not want, and then refused to correct their mistake by either a refund or sending what was actually requested via email by me and confirmed via email by their staff. Their reason? Their duplicate account error led to me receiving 2 intro offers. Not sure how this is any of my doing. As for the quality of the food, I agree with others who posted that the intro offer is much better quality than the full-price orders that follow. And yes, the packages do leak. That said, it's still probably much healthier than canned/dry food options. Fortunately for us, as consumers, there are increasingly more raw food options at competitive prices. I will be shopping around.

The trial meat was amazing, I immediately noticed a change in my dogs attitude and demeanor, he was like a puppy again. (He's 10 years old.) For a month or two my full price subscription was also great. Then I started noticing a small green layer on top of his beef, decided it wasn't a big deal and fed it to him anyways. Continued seeing improvement in him until January. In January he had diarrhea and we dismissed it as the neighbor dogs giving him something. He then started to skip meals and refuse to eat Darwin's in the morning and then eventually at night as well. Yesterday (April 6th) he refused to go anywhere near Darwin's and we noticed him laying in a huge puddle of drool and him producing alarming amounts of drool. We took him to the vet immediately after and he had diarrhea in the waiting room. They couldn't find anything wrong with him, so we assume it was Darwin's. We have started making his meals ourselves and will be throwing out his Darwin's and seeing a refund if possible. We will not order from them again. While looking for a refund policy on the website we just saw that there was a recall including what our dog ate. We were not made aware of this despite us cancelling only a week ago. The recall included Salmonella, E.Coli and Listeria.

My dog has been in this food for almost 7 years. I used to love it but recently it has gone severely downhill. It's made my dog sick, they've gotten too big for their britches and can't handle quality control anymore. We have given it a couple of tries since our dog has gotten sick. They have replaced our food their customer service has been good. But we've had to switch food and now my dog is doing much better.

Very disappointed... Be careful and cautious. I recently ordered some chicken for my cat - I ordered the starter kit, only about $14.00. But, even before the food was here, I received a recall notice from Darwins and also from a web site that I signed up with to be notified of recalls. Now, before I ordered this starter kit from them, I asked them if they had recalls, they admitted they did, but claimed they took care of the problems. I figured they must have cleaned up the problem areas - apparently not. They assured me that the batch I was to receive was not contaminated..., but how do they know that? The batch that WAS contaminated apparently made some animals sick (not sure about death), so who's to say the batch I was receiving wasn't going to be contaminated and I find out it was when I'm rushing my best friend to an animal hospital, or worse, picking up her ashes? I am not going to risk my best friend's life over their "assurances". I voiced my concern and expected a refund, but was told the food wasn't contaminated, so I wouldn't be getting a refund. I threw the food into the garbage, I wasn't even going to donate it because I am not convinced that it wasn't contaminated - and wasn't going to risk other animals lives. And, that's fine - I'm out $14.00 because they wouldn't do the right thing, but they are out of a future customer that spends way more than $14.00 on cat food. I will say this - their response to my concerns was immediate, but I was genuinely surprised at them clutching that $14.00. I've never had a company not refund something when there was a legitimate concern - and this was a legitimate concern. I could have pressed the issue and challenged it on my Credit card, but it isn't worth the hassle to me (although I still might). Nevertheless, the well-being of my best friend is way more important o me than the $14.00. Apparently that $14.00 is more important to them than bad reviews and no returning customers. Be very, very careful...

There is a recall on this product It contains salmonella. I if u purchased it return for refund. Better just throw away. I can hurt your dog. Check Google plus for more brands that r recalled.
