Great selection of guitars. Staff is well educated about the products they carry and the history behind the instruments. I would rate 5 stars if the staff was more welcoming. I am not trying to imply that the staff is rude or impatient, that is not the case. I just don't think the person shopping should have to approach a staff member to request help. I understand they are going for a causal atmosphere, but if I'm shopping for a $4k+ instrument and willing to pay extra $1000's to pick up a cool vintage amp, I feel like I would deserve a little more attention. No need to be pushy, just engage with your customers! Other than that, it's a overall good experience at Dave's. It's also always fun to go into the shop and check out all the cool gear!

Wide range of guitars for beginner to professional.  Helpful and musically talented staff who do not intimidate shoppers with even the most modest skills.  Trade-ins are given very reasonable offers.  You are unlikely to have buyer's remorse, if you take something home.  I have purchased 10+ guitars and traded even more at Dave's.  Very happy with my inventory.  Safer than buying on Reverb.

Very talented young man helped my son choose a guitar. Explained features of different models and left us to try each, talk about them. No pressure. He gladly returned to us when my son had a favorite. More description of care. Sale included a case, humidifier, and t-shirt. We were thrilled.

I use to love going to Dave’s... not anymore. Today was by far my worst experience. I went in looking to do a trade in for an electric guitar. Though there were many employees who worked there that looked like they weren’t doing anything, it took 10 minutes for someone to eventually take a look at my guitar. The guitar I brought in was quoted $50 less than it had been when I brought it in 1 week earlier, which I don’t have a huge problem with because it was only $50, but I don’t understand why it was short. After the employee gave me the quote, he just walked away. He didn’t ask what I was looking to do with it and he didn’t even start the trade in transaction. HE JUST WALKED AWAY. So then I waited around longer until I could ask another employee if they had the guitar I was looking for in stock. I had told him that I didn’t see it and he didn’t even look for it and didn’t check the back or see if another one was ordered and was on its way being shipped. Then he also just walked away in mid conversation and never came back to me. No one offered to order the guitar for me and I honestly feel like no one cared. I left still with my original guitar and the whole visit was a huge waste of time. I have been to Dave’s many times in the past but I can say after this experience that I will definitely not be back anytime soon. I am way better off ordering off of other websites on the internet.

Awesome place to get or just look at guitars.  The guys there are very helpful if you need help and they'll leave you alone if you just want to try every single guitar in the building.  Definitely go upstairs and look at those beautiful guitars.  This is a perfect place if you're a beginner player looking for a non expensive guitar.  Highly recommend.
