Incredible and innovative sushi in the heart of Montana! Dave's has been a Bozeman staple for years, and has maintained its high standards over the entire time I have been going there. I have been at least a dozen times and have been wowed consistently. The staff are great, and food is served pretty quickly once you order. The biggest challenge is waiting for a seat, it was a half hour wait even on a Tuesday when we last visited. The restaurant has a fun modern but inviting vibe. The sushi is the obvious draw, they have all the regular rolls you'd expect plus some really fun alternatives to the norm. For example, the John Wayne is served with steak on top. They even have some secret menu items. The appetizers and noodle dishes are also excellent. The calamari is my favorite. I just wish they would bring back the sushi tacos! They have a good beer list as well. Prices are fair, but expect to pay a bit more than other sushi places because the quality rocks.
Surprisingly great sushi for the middle of the mountains! Dave's never disappoints, the quality is really great and the food is delicious. Pros - lots of gluten free options including the tempura!!, good size portions, new menu additions often and friendly staff. Cons - the menu is overwhelmingly large, a little pricey. I prefer to pick up and take home rather than eat at the restaurant most of the time since it's consistently SUPER busy and packed with people. worth a stop!
Had a great time at Dave's. The sushi is amazing and well worth the price. Best sushi I've had to this day. The sushi chefs know what they're doing, chef's choice is always a good way to go. Amazing atmosphere and our server Matthew provided awesome service. 10/10 reccomend. I'm happy they enclosed what use to be their outdoor seating.
On the drive to Bozeman from the airport, highway billboards proclaim that Dave's sushi is the best in Montana - a message that stuck days later when someone proposed sushi for dinner. Wow was that billboard right! Surprised and delighted at every course, we enjoyed many rolls, the fried collar, and a bowl of churashi. Quality through and through. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. Significantly better sushi than most everything in its price tier.
We always see signs advertising this business when we visit Montana, so we definitely had to try it when we were in the area. The sushi was delicious and the price was very reasonable. If you're craving sushi and you're nearby, this is the place to be at. We will definitely be back next time we visit.
Food was so good and the atmosphere was blast. The portions were perfect and the sushi was super fresh. The calamari and chicken wings were fried to perfection and were perfect for the appetizer. The fried chicken roll was amazing and so was the S'Happening and Avocado Extreme. Definitely stop whole you are here. Super Reasonable but we go hard.
I came to this place pre pandemic and just found photos of the food on my phone. I will always remember that the food was so good, it caught me by surprise. Really enjoyed the service too from friendly, engaging staff. Good portions for the right price.
The food is absolutely delicious! Best sushi and I’ve ever had! If you go I high recommend getting the New Zealand salmon nigiri. Everything we tried here was great.
This isn't just great sushi for Montana, this is great sushi for anywhere. When I first looked at the menu, it struck me that the prices were a little bit high, but the rolls are huge. At my favorite place in Maryland, I would typically eat three or four rolls easily, but after one normal roll and one specialty roll, I was completely full. Photo is of 3 Sake Maki and one Street Taco specialty that my daughter and I shared. We will be back.
Nice selection of sushi. Didn't expect to find a good sushi spot in Bozeman. Also has a good selection Asian fusion cuisine if sushi isn't your thing. Sat at the sushi-bar, Eric took great care of me. Try the Hamachi Belly, spicy scallops, unagi, king salmon and Anna Ebi with fried shrimp heads. Good selection of sake, beer and wine. Definitely stop in.
