Modern authentic Japanese cuisine in the heart of Bozeman downtown. Loved the ambience, gives a New York style bistro restaurant style vibe. Knowledgeable and friendly servers. Tried out a sake cocktail mango ginger which was spiced and out of the world. Their ramens were great and we have chilly green beans
Really enjoyed eating here! We had a large group and they were very accommodating. The aesthetics of the restaurant are very pleasing. I could imagine this being a wonderful spot for an intimate dinner conversation, or just an easy hang with a group of friends at the bar seating. The food was excellent, there were some good options on the menu, but not too many that it would be overwhelming. The servers were kind and knowledgeable and were just the right amount of classy, not overly talkative or interruptive, but seemed to know when to interject into our conversation. Great experience, highly recommended.
Mission Statement: To provide Bozeman with Izakaya inspired, Montana comfort. This place is amazing - top quality ingredients, creative menu items, superb taste. Austin recommended the Chicken and Waffles what a twist! and Local Oyster Mushrooms. We also had the Taiwanese Noodle Bowl with a soft boiled soy egg. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Great saki, too. Our server, Olivia, did an outstanding job.
This place has a wonderful atmosphere, quality sake selection and great apps as well as a variety of delicious Ramens. Their egg in the Tonkatsu rame I ordered was perfectly soft boiled. Their tempura octopus was well prepared and gad an amazing dipping sauce to go along with it.
Delicious ramen, beautiful decor, convenient location. The miso soup is a great starter, and the pork ramen is my favorite entree.
Of all the places we have tried in Bozeman this is one of the best. The food is excellent. The Pork, Ramen is delicious, rich and well balanced flavors. Everything we tried here was great. Karaage chicken, curry, and Katsu all exceptional. Be sure to give the Mochi donut holes a try, delicious with a bit of lemon curd !
Tanoshii is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in downtown Bozeman. The best food I had there was the Agadashi mellow fried tofu and Korean fried chicken the crunchy combination was to die for!. For the main meal I had the Sutadon Pork belly bowl. I think that the addition of an egg made it better, so I’d recommend that. For desert, I had the Mochi donuts and I’ve got to say that they were awesome. They came with a sweet sauce and powdered sugar, which was quite nice because the donuts themselves were quite plain. Overall, the food was very good but quite heavy so I would get some vegetable dishes if I were to go again.
While this place isn't the most authentic Thai place as it is more of a fusion restaurant, it is nevertheless the best Thai place in Bozeman. I would happily come back here anytime to grab a bite to eat.
Ate at this place yesterday after just landing in town to attend a wedding and this place is amazing! We had the fried chicken appetizer and two ramen dishes that had great unique flavor and depth. It’s a small spot on the main road with some great seating options to look out and appreciate the views and atmosphere. Cool indoor decorations and our waiter Zak was super friendly and helpful in ordering some Japanese beers. He asked us about our trip and made some recommendations. Might even stop by again on our way out!
We have gone to tanoshii a couple times now and have been really pleased each time. The staff is really great and it is nice to get some unique cuisine in Bozeman. They have awesome daily specials parsnip poutine was insanely good and use a ton of locally sourced products. Prices are also pretty reasonable for Bozeman.
