We were a huge group that visited them during a weekday evening. They were pretty packed. I did like the one in Metairie more than the one here, but I still loved their platter. It was almost as good as the other one. Otherwise a lovely place to be. Their location is pretty spot on. The staff was pleasant, and their wait times wasn't crazy.

Overall, loved it.

Called to ask for reservation. Was rudely told by whoever answered the phone, absolutely not followed by a click. Used to go there religiously and even recommended to my friends. After reading some of the reviews for both locations, I think I would like to keep my friends as friends and pass. Can't understand why the attitude with staff and management. Don't the owners ever read the comments? Plenty of great restaurants in NO to choose from.  Its a shame. maybe its time for a nice unannounced health department inspection. (See comments from other location). Tip for anyone contemplating eating at any restaurant. before getting a seat, check out the bathroom. If its filthy, I guarantee you so is their kitchen.

The food is delicious. My favorite was the fried soft crabs and fried oyster. Delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and took the time to go over the menu with us. Great place to dine.

I have a new favorite in New Orleans. Delicious food and reasonable prices in a nice location. Generous portions. You can have a reasonably priced meal or go bigger and fancier if you want to spend more. They had large platters if you that much food. Staff was friendly. Location was clean. It felt upscale without having to spend a fortune. I highly recommend the coconut bread pudding. It was a unique take on a New Orleans tradition. I will definitely be back when I visit New Orleans again.

This place gets a grade of a 1. I was there on 9/9 with 7 other people. To my wandering eyes appeared a roach on my potatoes that I was eating.  The waitress was notified.  The manager came and stated it may have come from the freezer with the butter.  As disgusted as we were, we decided to stay being that this place was highly recommended.  Well,  out was mentioned that we would not accept a 10% discount. The manager Kevin got so upset and asked us to leave because we know our consumer rights.  This was totally unacceptable in so many ways.  Please be aware of what you are eating from there as I've already ate one potato and the roach blended in well with the seasonings.
