Great instruction and gear selection. John is extremely knowledgeable and has had literally thousands of successful dives, so you can be assured he knows what he is talking about.

Best qualify dive instruction. Highly experienced owner and very long term employees are the best in the business. Once trained here, you will remember what you learned, which can save your life. It id save mine.

This shop has been around for a long time and they carry a great selection of dive gear.  The owner John is an awesome instructor who really cares about his students safety while showing them how fun diving can be.  He can also fix near anything.  You can trust this place to service your equipment while still offering a reasonable price.

Great shop, been going there for years. Very polite knowledgeable staff, clean store, great prices. Even offer scuba lessons on site in an indoor pool. Hands down best dive shop in town, probably in the whole state.

Small local dive shop, IANTD affiliated, with a STRONG focus on teaching cave/tech stuff.  

The Good:
Reasonable selection for a smaller business, and prices are usually near those of larger stores in Tampa/Orlando.  Training prices are definitely lower than other scuba shops, and they have nice facilities, with a pool and classroom on site.  They still have parts to service older DACOR equipment, and may be the only shop in the area that can do so.  Everyone is knowledgeable.

The Bad:
The reason for the reduced number of stars is that the customer service can leave something to be desired.  It's a popular store with lots of customer traffic, but probably a bit understaffed since you often need to wait in line to even talk to someone.   They know many of their customers by name, but are usually too busy to spend a lot of time answering questions.   They've not openly RUDE, but can be gruff and/or dismissive. I suspect that they prefer working with customers who share their passion for technical and cave diving.
