Epic meal, great prices & friendly staff!
Was in the mood for shrimp, read menu online and decided to give this place a try. Arrived at 2:30 planning on gap between lunch and dinner. Nope. Place was full entire time including a couple of large family parties. Food was far above my expectations in spite of reading reviews. Meal starts with chips, salsa and a corn relish. First course is a fish soup followed by entree of 3 shrimp tacos which were 3 large/jumbo shrimp for each 6 inch tortilla with a warm pico. This was first time I encountered a 2 handed taco, required to contained everything for first couple bites. Shrimp were not breaded and cooked perfectly. There were usual accompanying sides, rice small salad and scoop of mashed potatoes as well as avocado slices. Everything was delicious but my focus was on shrimp tacos. Please give this place a try but come hungry. Service was attentive, well staffed and busy.
There is a difference from years ago to now in the food. It is very fried and seasoned. I asked for a fish fillet on paper, because it was healthy and it had vegetables with fat and seasonings. The fiesta shrimp are super small and very hard fried.Food: 3/5
Fish soup has always been great here, except this last time it was Luke warm....and my wife and I had 2 different soups. Base was the same, Luke warm, and it seemed like fish/seafood had been dropped in, so none of the flavor had permeated the ingredients. Actually took it home and let it soak overnight in the fridge and reheated it--was much better. For a 14.00 fish soup and 15.00 small 7 mares soup, it was pretty disappointing.
Ordered the fried ice cream, got three scoops of ice cream covered in rice crispies instead. Shared with the kids and they loved it. A notice that this restaurant doesn't do fried ice cream would be nice.
Great Mexican seafood restaurant with some good Mexican favorites too. The couple times my wife and I went here, it was busy and loud. We like places that are a bit quieter If you like to be near the action go here. The shrimp and fish were always top notch.
Went and tried the restaurant for the first time. Had the black bass it was great. I'm from Florida I know my fish. I hope I don't get in trouble for this part. But if they would have had hush puppies and shrimp with the black bass I would have kissed the waitress.
The seafood is great...always get the dozen oysters >> a whole fried fish>>ajo. Tried La Torre..was great!!! Best place to eat seafood..in las cruces>>Hands down! Gave props to the chef that night..were the las people to leave the establishment
If you're looking for fine dining, go elsewhere - and pay the high prices. This place serves food "like grandma used to make" - if grandma was from Mexico.... Good food at a good price with good service. I had the black bass whole grilled with garlic. Very crispy and tasty.
Looking at moving back to Las Cruces and this place is motivation why I need to get back soon Delicia's del Mar is an absolute best Las Cruces has to offer I think one of the best that New Mexico has offer the service was great friendly. The staff I'm sure they were smiling under their mask. Cecilia had some kind of fish I wish I could have remembered what kind it was it looked amazing it smelt amazing and I should have taken a bite taking a bite. Well Cecilia almost had fish me Andres my friends call me Dre I had grilled shrimp with garlic and I have no idea what kind of sauces with it but oh my gosh I couldn't stop being that stuff I cannot brag enough about how good the food was here. I wish they delivered to Deming. Why didn't I give him a five star parking is horrible I wasn't greeted at the door and I think you know to walk in and feel welcome and don't get me wrong the staff is great but I think my experience has been a little bit better with a simple hello as we walked in other than that five stars 10 Stars but I'll be back thank you again Cecilia for lunch thank you to the staff at Delicia's Del Mar. At this place your favorite list
