Fantastic, educational visit. There are 2 big hangars both with several delta planes, and one you can even walk through! By this point I was very excited being a mild plane enthusiast myself. I was slightly sad it was only 2 large buildings, but then we were directed outside to where a large 747 was waiting for us to explore it! That was the best experience by far. You can see some internal parts of whats under all the plastic seating, etc. Overall a fantastic visit however expect to be done relatively quick. I took my time reading each plaque however the visit can be done in 1-1.5 hours easy

A must-see for any avgeek in Atlanta. Inside there are planes from Delta's early history, including an immaculate DC-3 and a 767 converted into exhibit space. Plus all sorts of historical goodies - flight attendant uniforms, brochures, and everything else you'd find in a Delta cabin from across the airline's history. You really feel like you were there. Outside is the first 747-400 ever built! You can board it to see the first class cabin and a cutaway showing just how massive the hull is.

The museum has a nice collection of old Delta planes from the earlier days. We certainly learned a lot about the Delta history and what grand effort it took for them to grow as one of the largest airline companies in the world. The 747 exhibit was very good and impressive. It is not to be missed.

If you want to walk through a Boeing 747 and 767 then this is your chance. It's a very interesting place. I enjoyed the trip. Combine this museum with a trip to the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins.

Fun stop before heading back to the airport! Cool to see the planes up close, as well as different cross sections. Friendly staff -- definitely recommend for aviation enthusiasts!
