Dr. Grollo is good his staff on the other hand not so great. They are sweet ladies but c’mon. They have charts laying around everywhere and I think they need a better computer system. Every time you call to make an appointment or go for blood work they ask you ... is this your first time?? One time I went in for blood work and she asked for my last name ... she looked at me like a deer in headlights because she wasn’t familiar with me. PULL OUT YOUR CHARTS!! This morning they called me to tell me blood work results and that they would send my prescription over to my local pharmacy. Three hours later.... and nothing has been called in. I called the Dr’s office and they have no recollection of ever speaking to me. I can hear her ask around and she says nobody ever called me!! I kept insisting someone did and she kept insisting no one had. Are you serious!!! By this time I was upset and she put me on hold....someone FINALLY pulled out my chart (which should’ve been done in the first place) and saw that “yes” someone in fact had called me. Very frustrating!!!

I had gone to two other emergency hospital rooms within one month in pain. One only a week prior. Again, at a third hospital emergency room, Advocate Condell, my life was litterly saved by a great emergency room doctor and the persistence of Dr. Grollo. I will be forever thankful.

So my husband, amazing man, gets worried very easily when he thinks there is something wrong with him. He is a chronic Web MD'er. Dr. Grollo is very kind, smart, and is the only person that can calm my husband's anxious thoughts. He doesn't just tell him he will be fine. He takes the time to baby this part in my husbands personality and makes him feel comfortable that he doesn't need to worry. Dr. Grollo is extremely personable and most importantly is a well educated doctor. He will not stop until there is a cause for something that is bothering you or not right with your body. Not to mention the nurses and receptionist here are very sweet. They remember who you are and make you feel special. It is like a family doctors office. Nowadays everyone is on the go so much and very unpersonable but in a time of need when you're worried or aren't feeling well this is the most comforting place you can go. I highly recommend Dr. Grollo if you don't have your own family doctor.
