I have not been to this physician. I just called the office to schedule an appointment since our PCP has retired and we are seeking a new one. I was immediately asked what type of insurance I had. When I told her Blue Cross, she wanted to know what type of policy. I explained that it was a PPO. She continued asking me what type of policy we had. I told her it was through _____ company. Usually questions about insurance are asked AFTER an appointment is scheduled and the ID number is usually asked for, etc., not general questions like those above. I got Dr. Gonzalez's name from our list of providers on our insurance website. Apparently she made the judgment, based possibly on my husband's name that showed up on the caller ID or the info I gave her regarding our insurance, that we did not have much money. She then told me that they were not taking any new patients until August 1st. I called her June 3rd, a 2 month wait. This was due, according to her, to the fact that they were revamping their computer system. We have excellent insurance that pays 100% of most health care needs and has no deductibles whatsoever. Our co-pay for a PCP visit is $15. So I need to go back to a quote from the Pretty Woman movie made by Julia Roberts when she walks back into a store where the clerks would not wait on her earlier, wearing a beautiful outfit, carrying large bags full of clothes purchased elsewhere, and says "Ladies, big mistake, HUGE mistake!" You don't want to go to a doctor whose wife (his wife runs the office) is only interested in how much money they're going to make.

Great Doctor and staff. My wife has been going to him for several years since obama care and most of her providers retired or use PAs or Nurse Practioners to give care in place of a Doctor. Not all Doctors are created equal and you get what you pay for folks. Doctors now have the new bureaucrat ropes to jump over as a result of the government. They have a bottom line to run a business also. Doctor Gonzales is no doubt one of the best in the area. My wife and I go to Tampa for our specialty doctors, Doctor Gonzales works well with them without conflict. We researched well before we chose this practice, we asked longtime locals and several medical transcribers, all said Doctor Gonzales was the best. The staff are always professional and will return non emergency calls in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks doctor for your great care and affection you show my wife.

Been going to Dr Gonzalez for many years. A trusted Doctor and a wonderful staff. Short waiting times and the office is filled with smiles. Dr Gonzalez takes the time with you that you deserve. I never felt rushed. I trust him.
