Went to breakfast at Denny's because my husband's diabetic and can't eat the breakfast at Hampton Inn. Hubby Ordered steak and eggs with sourdough toast.  Order came out missing the toast but the steak more than made up for it. WONDERFULLY prepared, flavor didn't need any sauce. He said it was the best steak he's had here in area. I got strawberry crepes and eggs.  Eggs were tasty, crepes had a good flavor but they were they were a bit rubbery, effort was needed to cut them. Overall a pleasant experience. Best breakfast we have had in the area.

I haven't been to this location in Hopewell, VA for awhile. The restaurant looks renovated, very clean, and has a nice quiet atmosphere. The server was very pleasant. But the food was horrible. The fries and hot tea were good but the sandwich had too much meat on it and it was ice cold, and just thrown together. The pancakes were even more messy, I didn't eat it. The server said the cook was new so I recommend coming in the morning where there is a more experienced cook.

Food was  hot and delicious. Great for your buck. The waitress wasn't as attentive when ask for more service while dining perhaps she was tired. Yet; overall my meal was fantastic. Oh... the cook was amazing We tipped him.

They had 1 server working. Didn't seat partied of more than 4. We waited an hour or so for 2 people to get food after ordering immediately to not have to wait so long. They need more staff. Waitress was nice though, we tipped $50 on our $40 bill to make the shift better. I feel bad for the staff.Food: 2/5

They were very understaffed. Manager scheduled too many cooks and no servers. Customers were getting own food and bringing to their own tables. One cook filled in as cashier and server. He had a wonderful attitude and went out of his way to serve customers in a pleasant and professional manner. This was an outlier scenario for this facility. Denny's is still a great restaurant with quality food.

Wait staff is always friendly but the service is super slow. I'm here now and we have been seated for 8 mins with no drink nor our orders haven't been taken. The kitchen lady is always upset or angry about something or has an attitude towards someone. There are about 8 tables seated and there is no cook in the kitchen cooking. With three tables just be seated as we were.  This place could do so much better. Should have just went to keystone grill instead.

My son and I went in today after hiking. Wait was long ,but okay. Staff was short handed but trying hard. BUT we ordered 2 Beyond burgers from their menu non-meat because my son is Vegan and I cannot eat beef without getting ill. BUT we were served real beef. I did not realize until had eaten half of burger. Now home and sick. We didn't complain because they were so short staffed and stressed already.They need to be more careful...could put someone in the hospital. Good thing we are nice people.

My wife and I went to Denny's this morning. We waited a while just to be seated. After being seated, I started a conversation with a few other customers. We found out that some had been sitting, waiting over an hour for their food, and some said they'd been waiting almost 30 minutes to for their order to be taken. We politely got up and left. Service and terrible. The female that sat us had a terrible attitude and seemed as if she didn't want to be there. Won't be back

The food was okay and would have been better if it was cooked as asked. I asked for eggs over medium and received fully cooked eggs and instead of bacon I received sausage. The rest of the meal was fine. The service was not very good. I felt like a burden to the waitress who seemed like she did not want to be there. Not a great experience.

Bradley does an amazing job working by himself every Friday while me and my husband have our date night! He is attentive to all of his customers. Our food is always great!
