Awesome! Looking for a unique, yet casual date night location? Colorado Sake Co is it! Order a flight of flavored sake to sip & taste and enjoy a sushi roll or fried rice to share. The atmosphere is top notch and I really enjoyed the flavorful sake! Interesting sake flavor infusions including honey, coffee and hibiscus were all available. Don’t skip the fried rice! We added pineapple & it was a nice touch.
Let me tell you about the Colorado Sake Company. We bought tickets to Marshmallow Night. A special event with a four course meal and Sake. Unfortunately, they had to cancel the event because not enough people signed up big mistake Denver. However, because we were looking forward to it so much, they offered to serve us the four course meal during their weekly Trivia Night. It was INCREDIBLE!!! I have worked in fine dining for more than ten years and have been side by side with some of the finest Chefs you'll ever meet. Trust me when I say this, it was a top-tier dinner and you would be hard pressed to find a better meal and zero chance you will find a better value. The service, the food, and the vibe of the room were all off the charts great. I promise you I will have tickets to every single event they offer in the future. Colorado Sake CO, you are amazing, and we will definitely be seeing you soon.
Had a great time here on the weekend! Good drinks, fun & free bingo with prizes, and surprisingly good food. The setup is a little strange with the comedy lounge in the back, yet that really didn't bother us. I did enjoy allnor the overhead origami and the interior decor. Would definitely come back!
Colorado's first and only Sake Brewery really is a treat! Sake made in house, with a wide assortment of flavors that will require you to bring two friends just to try them all. On top of that they offer Sushi, Dumplings, Ramen and more made in house as well as partnered with a comedy club in the back! A flight of sake is the way to go here, just so you can try amazing flavors like the Green Machine, made with Serrano, Cilantro & Lime, or even their Prickly Pear Lemonade Sake! There's Origami on the ceiling and the whole place smells like a Japanese restaurant, a must stop if you want a unique drinking experience!
3.5 for me. Place was ridiculously hot inside and a little chaotic. You order at the bar/counter and grab whatever seat is available. Self serve tap water that was warm because the space was so damn hot inside was not cool at least stick some ice in the jar please. Has a very NYC Brooklyn hipster vibe, which felt a bit dingy but the staff seemed to clean the tables fairly regularly and tidy up. The sushi was fresh and tasty, a little heavy handed with the seasoning but overall solid. The vegetarian pickled veggie sushi was really interesting and different. Staff is pretty hands off unless you've ordered a drunk or a meal and went pushy about getting you out if your table after the last morsel of food was gone from your plate.
The staff is amazing and the food is excellent. Now, I want to make it clear that this is not traditional sake. However, their take on sake is super interesting and totally worth trying. Surprisingly, the flavored sakes are better than the traditional ones. Come for dim sum weekends- the dumplings are amazing. I definitely plan on coming back.
I’ve been to Japan so the standard of sake is high. The standard/base sakes are decent and it is nice to see a place in the US brewing. But the prices are exorbitant. This flight was $32 without tip and tax. I would much rather go to a Japanese restaurant and get a genuine bottle or two considering the price of sake personally.
My friends and I went to a sake tasting with paired bonbons by Cocoa pod. The sakes were delicious. We ordered the Fried Rice, Chicken Gyoza and the Edamme Gyoza. The food was better than the sake. Great place for delicious food and trying something new.
Such a cool place. All of the sakes are pretty tasty, especially the sangria, blueberry, dragon fruit, and pineapple. The decor is really cool, with cranes and origami hanging from the ceiling. You can make origami and hang it up at the restaurant to celebrate your visit! The food is also pretty delicious - we loved everything we ordered: gyoza, bulgogi fried rice, shrimp curry, sushi rolls, and spicy tuna bowl. Music was also on point with Rufus and Odesza playing all night. Will definitely be coming back here.
What a fun experience! Visiting the area and wanted to try something different. We learned a lot about sake and got to try lots of different things. Carrot cake was awesome but be sure to try the original as well! Taylor was great :-
