Staff throughout the airport are generally very easy to work with as long as you keep a good attitude. The food options are good despite the fact that it is not a very large airport. Over all one of the better regional airports I have flown through.

You can feel pretty safe at this airport the security seams to be pretty alert which is reassuring and the airport staff were very friendly. I enjoyed flying out from there.

I flew in to Des Moines last Saturday to find that due to the bitter cold, my car wouldn't start after sitting there for a week.  They, despite the cold, came out and got my car started.  I am very grateful for their help so I could make it home.  Thank you!

Very quick to get through security but do they actually have International flights? Nowhere that I fly to.

De-icing capability is completely insufficient.  Unacceptable given our climate.  Guess we potentially miss seeing the Cyclones at the Liberty Bowl because DSM doesn't have capacity to de-ice planes in a timely manner.  Missed our connections.
