I have a TON of work to be done and want to set up a vendor relationship with a local electrician. No company I called charged me to come out to give me an estimate, except this one. Wanted to charge $70 just to LOOK at the work and give me a price. In other words, they want me to say "well, I have already paid $70, so they might as well do the work because I don't want to keep paying different companies $70 each." Quite a way to make money without doing any actual work. Drive around and collect the $70 and give an outrageous price. Do I need to be an electrician to have that job? Absolutely ridiculous to pay $70 to see what street lights I need installed and get a price on putting in multiple pedestals, etc. I have a ton of work to be done and if they do not want to bid the job honestly, then how can they do honest work?
