Story

At DeVitis Italian Market, we believe there’s no substitute for the heritage and history that comes with being a family-owned business. We’ve been running this place for four generations now, and our commitment to offering the people of Akron the finest Italian products and prepared foods has never changed. We have a huge selection of fresh deli items, hot prepared meals, and homemade pasta sauce. Great italion food at reasonable prices.i stop in every other week or so and have never gotten a bad product. I just Got canoli tubes And they worked perfect and were delicious. Their sweet Sicilian sausage is homemade and some of the best sausage in Akron. I also pick up Their Italian subs they have quality meat on them And are perfect for lunches. Their clam sauce is the best in town.

People love this place and I don't know why. Maybe it's because it's the last Italian grocery store in Akron. The store has a small produce selection and nice selection of pickled items. The deli case has a large selection, but there are only a few Italian meats and cheeses to choose from, the rest of the items can be purchased at any other grocery store. And the prices at the deli case are astronomical. Again maybe because it's the only Italian store in town. The best item sold at this place is the taralli, other than that I wouldn't go. If you've got the time, and want more choices at much better prices, go to Mediterranean Imports at the West Side Market, or Gallucci's on the near east side of Cleveland.

DeVitis I talian Market is the closest thing to my mother's home cooking l have found. Even if you didn't grow up in a Italian American home your still gonna love this place.

Great old school Italian Market, family run and they take great care of you. Great prepared food options and plenty of Frozen stuff too.

Amazing old fashioned historic deli in Akron's North Hill neighborhood. Authentic selection and people. Amazing prepared food like lasagna in their deli and amazing meats and cheeses
