Store staff not overly available. Need more areas to sit down & try boots on. Only one place in boot section & otherwise have to go over to other side of store in shoes. Good sales though on winter socks & snow gloves.

Very wide selection of sporting goods and outdoor apparel. The prices are a little high so I would recommend waiting for the items to go on sale. This is where I buy most of my athletic shoes as they have a large selection and as I mentioned I wait for a sale. The shoes can go on sale for up to 20% off which makes a $100 shoe $80. My girlfriend likes to purchase her running shoes here (Brooks or Mizuno) and her Nike and Under Armour running apparel. I have also purchased some Nike and Under Armour gear here also. We are both usually approached by an associate who offers to help and if not an associate can readily be found. I used to buy my weightlifting equipment here when it was Galyans but since the prices on these items have raised so much since it became Dick's I now buy them at Dunham's where they are less expensive.

Had to ask the guy 6 times to get a pair of shoes, then he went back every time and got other peoples shoes instead of mine. Terrible customer service. Also, if you would like to write a check don't count on it. They have a new check policy to where you have to spend a twenty dollar increment per week otherwise it will be denied. They treat you like you're a criminal even if u aren't. It there was a 0 star rating, I'd give it. Extremely terrible never going again.

My son plays travel baseball and during pool play today made an amazing catch and damaged his glove. He was expected to play again Sunday so we ran in around 730pm for an emergency. The employee took extra time to condition and steam the glove for my son to be able to use it. Very much appreciated!!! This Dick's at Grand Prairie took very good care of us.!!!

Cashier was very pleasant and friendly. Signage was confusing said buy one get one 1/2off outside items did not specify what had balls, basketballs I bought an $89.99 volleyball/badminton set but they told me it had to be another thing like the set I bought Didn't quite get that but wasn't going to argue about a lighted basketball. However felt it wasn't clear and no one was around to ask. I don't know why it wasn't considered an outdoor item. You use it at night to play basketball outside?????
