The Dickson City Fire Department (DCFD) is a 100% volunteer fire department providing fire supression and rescue service to the borough of Dickson City, PA.
The Borough of Dickson City is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania approximately 2 hours to our State Capital (Harrisburg), the City of Philadelphia as well as New York City.
Dickson City is bordered by the City of Scranton, the townships of South Abington and Scott, as well as the Boroughs of Blakely, Throop and Olyphant.
Our community is approximately 5.2 square miles with a population of just over 6600 residents. During commercial retail hours the population more than doubles.
Our community was primarily of the residential nature until recently when our community began to take on a growth of commercial activity and the now famous Dickson City Commons Retail District.
Today Dickson City is one of the fastest growing commercial areas in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
To provide emergency services to residents and businesses in Dickson City and surrounding municipalities, upon request. Theses services include but are not limited to fire suppression, response to environmental , weather related emergencies, motor vehicle accidents and other life threatening events. The membership will encourage and promote moral, mental, and fraternal development among its members, with the intention of becoming one of the foremost emergency services organizations in this county.
