If your kids ,or yourself, are even remotely interested in science this is one of the best choices you could make for an outing. The history behind Lawrence Livermore is amazing to say the least, definitely intriguing and sometimes a little bit scary. If you live anywhere in the area this should be on your list of places to go.

Cool little free gallery showing what goes on at LLNL. If you can do the full tour on a Tuesday morning, definitely go for it. Book it months in advance though!
