Full Service Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Clinic. Methadone Maintenance, and Suboxon/Subutex/Naloxone assisted Rehabilitation along with mandatory counseling. This Discovery House location is setup more like a conventional Doctors Office. While the operation hours are slightly shorter than its Harrisburg counterpart. It's overall a much better setting and environment for patients that: Have children, social anxiety, want a more discrete office, need faster service, live closer, and are more serious about their recovery.

This clinic began tapering my dose down by 10mg per day, illegally. I never signed a consent form, and i was told the most they will ever decrease you is by 5mg per day. I was at 75mg for 4 months, then within 4 days I was down to 45mg!! The nurse told me this is unlike anything she's seen before and that even the computer system was generating warnings every day my dose was drastically decreased.. at the time I had one more day left before I transferred to ARS Camp Hill, and i asked to be held at 45mg. The last day dosing here i was again decreased, this time by 5mg down to 40mg.. thankfully when I began at ARS the doctor put me up to 55mg the first day and within a week back to 75mg which is my stable dose. Basically, DH does whatever they want, however they want and they don't care how much it hurts you. Tapering anyone without consent is ILLEGAL but they did it to me any way. I filed a grievance and it was never followed up nor did I receive any response regarding the outcome of the grievance. They simply do not care. Terrible experience! The staff, with the exception of the nurse, are rude and do not care about their patients. They try any and every way possible to keep patients from earning take home doses. If you express any type of negative emotion, disagree with anything your counselor says or question anything that is done or said to you, it will be noted in your chart that you have an anger management problem. The director of this clinic looks down his nose at you. The front desk receptionist talks to people as if shes better than them. Counselors do not return phone calls. You are punished if you have car trouble or another emergency situation and cannot make it to a group. Some patients are allowed to miss appointments but others aren't. It all depends which counselor you have. Their rules are not the same for everyone. The lab they use for urine screens is not reliable. Personally this clinic stressed me out more than using heroin did and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! By far the worst experience I have had with any clinic or rehab facility. They only care about how many patients they can accumulate and how much money those patients and/or their insurance companies are paying. I have never been more disrespected by so called "professionals" in all my life. This place claims to want to help people get their lives back, but they make it nearly impossible to do so. In the long run, being a patient here hurt me much more than it ever helped me. The medication has done wonders for me but the staff ruined the whole experience for me. I am now in the process of transferring to another clinic because my experience there was so terrible. I would highly discourage anyone seeking treatment for their self or anyone else they care about to NOT go to this clinic. It is AWFUL.
