Went here years ago and was mentally tortured by the staff. The would scream in my ear and spit in my face until I was literally in tears most of the time for doing nothing wrong or for the sake of "growth" as they would call it. Their goal is to brainwash the kids there, but their tactics only scar them.

My son attended several years ago.  He was heading for long stay at juvenile detention in a state facility. 
The DSV did help him a lot and took pressure of the family.  He did have some issues after leaving, however the counseling and life skills did subsequently kick in.  All in all I give the DSV a lot of credit and have found the the environment positive.  There should a DSV for adults!
