We are a locally-owned, family restaurant featuring modern décor and American Cuisine. The menu offers a great selection of appetizers ranging from Lobster Deviled Eggs, District Pork Wings to Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls. For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy a selection of salads, sandwiches, pastas, steaks and seafood. And make sure you save room for dessert or a dessert wine from our extensive wine list. The restaurant is very spacious. We have a beautiful patio with a great lake view, small dining rooms for an intimate dining experience, space to dine with your friends and family or come with your colleagues for a lunch or dinner business meeting in our event space or wine room. We have it all.
The wine selection at District 36 is very well rounded and offers many wines for you to taste and enjoy. We have a large craft beer selection, martini’s and cocktails featuring our own “Urban Bourbon”. Urban Bourbon is a select single barrel bourbon from the award winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. Our Social Hour features wine flights, where you can sample select wines and enjoy flat breads.
The owners of District 36, Wine Bar and Grille are Dave and Jean Thompson. They also own and operate The Urban Grill on 86th St., in Urbandale. The Urban Grill has been a staple in Urbandale for over 15 years. We are looking forward to being a part of the Ankeny community. Thank you for having us!
