I go to this bar quite a bit and the staff is always friendly and nice. Last night I had gone in and was having a good time. I had a question for one of the bartenders and he said I have a question for you. He asked why I had "blue" lip stick on. I told him it was gray but that's beside the point. Now I don't mind if someone makes a joke or comment about it, but he kept going and making fun of me asking if I was dying and if I had just blown a smurf. That's when he took it to far, and costumers were laughing at me. That's when I got so upset to the point where I went and wiped it off and started tearing up a little bit. I got no apology or anything. I will never go to that bartender again. He was rude and was straight up making fun of me. (A customer)

Unfriendly bartenders and bad atmosphere. Bartenders spend more time drinking than paying attention to who actually needs a drink and are unfriendly when you get their attention. Good place to go if you wanted to be harassed though

This place was pretty good. A decent selection and a Cubs bar! The staff was friendly and I'd go back here again.

days.  That's how many consequetive days Jake's has open ed it's doors to it's patrons.  It's been open every day for 19 years.  That's commitment.  That's dedication.  That's Phelps and Sykes.  Thanks guys.
