Haven't dealt with Dobs in years.... wouldn't even have remembered about this situation had it not been for this website popping up . If you buy new tires you're supposed to get free tire rotation, right? Well, I took them up on that when I bought my first, (and it was my last), set of tires from them. I wanted to go to the Dobbs at the Brentwood Promenade, because one that's why I first bought my tires and to that's the closest to me and easiest to get to. It was a Saturday, so instead of just driving over there, I called and to make an appointment just to have my tires rotated. The guy told me it would be at lesst 3, likely 4 hours, before they could get my tires rotated. Because he said, they were quote backed-up unquote. I know it doesn't take that long overall to just rotate tires. After all, I was a former customer of theirs, right? I'm asking for anything else. So I got an idea. I used my cell phone, or it my wife's cell phone, I don't exactly recall now. But I waited about 10-15 minutes, then called back and the exact same guy answered. So I kind of disguised my voice. Telling him, I needed to buy 4 NEW tires for my Toyota Camry LE....told him what I was looking for, Michelin, expensive tires. Which I did have on my Camry, as those were the ones exactly that they had sold me not long before... so that was a no-brainer. And he just happened to have those exact same tires in stock there at the store, go figure! I then told him I was in abit of a rush and asked him how long it would take, overall to take my old tires off the aluminum rims and to balance and put the new ones on? Remember, same guy I had just asked 15 minutes before about just rotating my tires, (that service would be FREE) because I bought them there. He told me as soon as I can bring it in they could get it on the rack and get me the new tires, and get me out... What?? I then proceeded to talk to him rather, normally, and ask him if he remembered speaking to me about 15 to 20 minutes ago on the phone about rotating my tires that I had purchased from them several months before and had better enough miles on them that I needed them rotated, because that was a free service that came with the purchase? He did recall me calling about that... I asked him why would it be that I had to wait 3 to 4 hours to just get tires rotated when somebody that was going to purchase four brand new expensive tires could get them done as soon as I pulled in and get them out. He stopped, he couldn't answer, and he apologized... Too late I told him and I hung up, I then proceeded to call the corporate office. Let them know the same exact scenario that just went down and that I would never be purchasing nor service any of my vehicles at their facilities again. They apologized and said they would talk to him and find out what happened and if I wanted to get my tires rotated that I could. I said forget about it I would rather pay somebody else from now on to do that and I will never be doing business with your company again. And I will pass along to my colleagues and others at work and as many people as I could about your customer service. If you buy something from them they're all about it but when it comes time to Servicing that is a free service then you better expect to wait, and wait, and wait.... Just FYI about DOBBS 'service after the sale'

My experiences at Dobbs Tires & Auto is always professional and pleasant. I am always given the best of care with the best prices. This is why I am a repeat customer time and time again. I always refer family and friends to Dobbs for their auto needs. I just love this place and the people that I have come across thus far working at the Ballwin location.

Failed my car for inspection telling me I needed front brakes and rear drums and that the job was going to be $950. Stay away. They tried to rip me off big time. Funny I took it down the road and it passed and I asked them and they said everything was fine.
