I am pretty particular about my hair...so much so that I started looking for a stylist online as soon as I knew I was moving from South Carolina to Kentucky. I watched several stylists on Facebook posting their cuts and colors and picked German because I loved what he was posting. Being a "redhead" can be challenging but the first time German colored my hair, he matched a completely different product very well! I was impressed! He has been doing my hair for over a year now and truly does an excellent job. His shampoos are awesome! :) I had to miss an appointment because a trip was delayed. German had Chris fit me in as soon as I got back so I wouldn't have to wait. He also did a great job with both the cut and color. The salon atmosphere is really wonderful...very peaceful. I have been in chaotic, loud and pretentious salons before. There is none of that in this salon. Pixie is a great addition if you just need a dose of cuteness. I highly recommend Dolce salon!

They were able to book me an appointment with the time I needed very quickly. They were so friendly when I got there offering water and coffee. Christopher was so kind and took the time to hear what I wanted and talked through the cut and color with me. He did an exceptional job. My husband even said this is the best color he's ever seen in my hair and I agree. I was so impressed and will continue to go back!

Dolce Hair Salon is a step above and beyond anything that Lexington has to offer. German is the absolute best at color and cuts that I have had since living in Lexington for the past 30 years. I really don't think you can get a better cut anywhere in Lexington, and I've been to all the well established and better known stylists in town at one time or the other. I'd say the styles, cuts, highlights, and color that German gives is comparable to what you would expect in NYC or Beverly Hills. The shop is only a couple of years old and it is already a 5 star in my book. I won't be shopping around for anyone better, because I am confident I have now found the best Lexington has to offer. Check out their impressive FB page with customer videos of the work they do. Extremely impressive. I've seen some really nice color, highlights, and cuts coming from Christopher Hand while spending some time sitting at German's station, getting my highlights done too. I can't believe that it has taken me so long to finally find a stylist that actually lives up to my "perfection" hair standards. Don't let the online booking sway you away from German when you see he's most always booked at least 3 to 6 months in advance. Call the shop and they will fit you in as soon as a cancellation comes open. I first scheduled online for the earliest appointment with German, which was 6 months away at the time, but after calling the shop and speaking with Carolyn, they put me on a cancellation list, and I within 30 days, I was sitting at German's station for the best haircut and highlights I've had anywhere in town!

When I look for a stylist I always hope to find someone that I can sit down in their chair, tell them the length, and trust their creativity completely. That is exactly what I found when I went to Dolce Salon. German has cut my best friend’s hair for years, and she has consistently looked fabulous, so when I came into town in desperate need of a cut, he went above and beyond. He took the time to give me the most thorough cut I’ve ever experienced, also adding highlights that look so natural I was almost fooled that I had just been sitting the pool all week. The years of experience and the ease with which he makes you look like the best version of yourself is astounding. Even days after the cut, my hair is more cooperative than it has ever been. If you are looking for attention to detail, a friendly team, and a great haircut every time, then Dolce Salon is the place to be!

I had such a great experience at this salon! My daughter and I both had an appointment with Christoper (I think 😬 I'm bad with names) He was so patient with my very hyper daughter. I am super nervous using a new stylist but I was not disappointed one bit! I absolutely adore my cut and my color!
