I've never really had a bad experience with any of the merchandise here or anything. The products are just as good as anything from any other dollar store. But early 2017 they pulled all the food items off the shelves for a while. When we asked about it (because we go to this location almost exclusively for snacks) they said they were remodeling. But those shelves stayed bare for months and nothing ever got remodeled or changed in the least. Making it shadier was the fact that they still had their refrigerator units full of food but told us they couldn't sell it. I've worked in retail enough that i am willing to bet decent money that they had a pest problem for a while there. Which, okay. I've worked in stores that had pest problems that didnt even sell food. It happens, I can overlook that, i just dislike being lied to. Also once had an employee straight up lie to me and tell me the restroom was out of order despite the fact that two people from my group used it before me with no problems (a fact that i did not know until i got back out to the car and mentioned that I needed a restroom cuz DT's was closed). When i was told by the employee that the womens room was out of order, I shrugged and started to head for the men's room cuz same difference. They are single-stall bathrooms anyway. Then the employee doubles down on her lie and says thats out of order too. Neither was locked. Neither had any sign saying "Out of Order". My best guess is she completely missed seeing me make my purchase and thought I was just some non-customer coming in off the street to use the bathroom? So now I usually go to one of the Dollar Trees on Rice St instead.

I love this place because of the employees...one in particular, Jon, is always friendly and nice and he know where everything is in the store. They don't sell any food at this location, but they should be again soon. The store is always clean and well stocked.
