Love this place. Dine in at one of the Gonzales,  Hammond, D.S. area restaurants at least once a week. Am very disappointed that since they came out with their new menus they no longer have the lunch menu. Portions are described as small or large. Only problem is that what I eat only has one size and they have been cut in half but the price hasn't.  The blackened shrimp pasta is not enough to satisfy my husband's appetite. Would rather pay a little more and keep serving size adequate than cut serving size and leave hungry when paying the original price.

Crawfish bisque reminded me of my aunt's, that she used to take days to make. Shrimp tacos were pretty good, but I didn't care for flour tortilla they were served in. Tasted more like bread than a tortilla.  But in fairness, I don't like flour tortillas, anyway.

They have some really good seafood especially their char grilled oysters. Local beers on draft. And the usual bar. Little pricey but the food is really worth it. They do have a happy hour which can alleviate the pain a little bit.

Great food.  Was in a group of about 25 and everyone enjoyed.  Great service too.  Always have delicious food there.

We were looking forward to eating fresh seafood.  I had the shrimp and grits.  The shrimp were over spiced, over salted and over cooked.  The grits were creamy but otherwise nothing to write home about.  My husband  had the seafood platter, $24.99.  Coleslaw was bland, shrimp was over cooked and salty, crab cake was mushy and had hardly any crab, the etouffe was cold and the oysters were passable.  $50 disappointment.
