We started working with them after the May hail storm.  They did the roof first but didn't remove the rain gutters so first set of shingles were not put on correctly also didn't replace the chimney cap, which to this date has not been replaced.  I called all the time at the beginning now call about once a month.  Then came the rain gutters.  We have leaks between the roof and rain gutters.  They were suppose to check on the siding to see if we could just fix what was damaged as of today no results.  Looking at having someone else finish the job.  But will continue to call to get the chimney cap and the rain gutters fix as they should fix the problems they caused.

We first contacted donahue early September after having issues with another contractor. When Gary showed up we told him that after filling this claim our insurance company would not renew on Sept. 25. We told him we needed at least the roof done and the insurance side of this taken care of by then so we could get new insurance. He promised us the world saying he would jump right on this and the roof would be done by the 25th easy. Unfortunately Donahue roofing delivered literally nothing. I can't think of one time they made contact with me after the initial visit by Gary.  Every time I called "about once a week" I would either get an excuse for why they had done nothing yet or be told someone would call me. No one ever did. Sept. 25th came and went and still nothing. After receiving  a letter from my lender saying they be forcing high cost insurance on me I made one final plea with Donahue. At this point Gary told me that he had sent his bid to the insurance company and was waiting for a response. Approximately a week later I contacted the insurance company who informed me they had no contact with any contractors. Immediately I called another contractor on Monday Oct.10th. Today Oct. 13th the roofing materials are delivered and will be  put on in the morning. At more than one point I even went as far as to say "if you don't have time for my job please just tell so I can find someone who does"  and was reassured they could do it. I will never hire or recommend this company. They are just after the money with no regard for the customers interests.

They do the best work in the whole area and are local would not consider anyone else

After a severe hail storm here in Billings, Donahue Roofing was quick to reply to my request for help. They assisted me every step of the way from citing places I could go to view other metal roofs, to helping me select a color, to putting in new skylights, and finally the roof itself. I had cedar shakes before, and I had no idea how a metal roof could look like cedar shakes, but I like it even better than my other roof! We're very satisfied customers!!

While I can't judge their roofing capabilities, I can judge their customer service - Awful.  I called on a Monday about a leaking roof - a true emergency in my eyes, as it was leaking through the ceiling and ruining walls.  After 4 phone calls telling me someone would be by to look at it, finally on Wednesday Mitch came by to assess the situation.  He then said he would email me some photos and call about a plan to repair the roof.  I didn't hear from him on Wednesday, so I called twice on Thursday to assure that he had my email correct.  Each time I called, a nice girl named Amber assured me that he was working on my project and would be calling "within the hour".  Well, no word on Thursday, Friday or Monday.  I finally gave up and called someone else who will have it fixed in 2 days.  As of today, 8 days later, I still haven't heard from them.

I realize it was a small job and you are busy with other projects.  Perhaps the courtesy of a quick phone call to say, "We are unable to help you at this time."  Maybe even a referral to a colleague who could help me.  I'm in a service industry.  I make call backs the same day or 1 day later in rare cases.  If I can't help someone, I promptly refer them to someone who can.  How about a little common courtesy?  Will never recommend them or attempt to use them again.
