One of our favorite delis. Good deals on meats, ( you have to watch for them), butcher will make recommendations and cut & wrap to size. All the Italian cheeses we want.

I Have Been Shopping in Doris Italian Market & Bakery for Several Years Now. And, they Never Disappoint. They Always Have what I Initially Acquire for My Shopping Needs. If I'm at the Deli, the Bakery, the Meat Counter or in Produce. I can Always find Something that Interests me. And, also the Workers Really go out of their Way. They do Such a Great job. They are all Very Friendly. And, the Food is Great Quality. They Have so much to Choose from. If you Have Never Been to Doris it is a Very Pleasant Experience.

It is obvious this market has many patrons and lots of fans, and I do see many familiar baked goods in the bakery from my childhood in Brooklyn, but--if you are a foodie, or if you bake yourself and are an ingredient purist, the flavors of the baked goods here do not taste as if they are made of the quality ingredients one uses at home. I do not taste real butter or olive oil or cane sugar or chocolate or real vanilla and almond extracts, only horrible fakeness... If you don't realize the difference or don't care, then enjoy the large variety which they offer! That being said, their homemade pesto IS authentic and IS made of quality pure ingredients with nothing unnecessary added, so definitely buy it if you love pesto...it is a little pricey, but very worth it, because good, true pesto ingredients ARE pricey! They have a nice selection of nougat candies and various types of Pannetone and such from Italy as well. Their dry pasta selection is good. Their fresh pasta selection is nothing to write home about. Another excellent find here was the extra virgin olive oil from Sicily which is absolutely amazing--fresh, fruity aroma, delicious flavor...it is called 'Partanna' brand and is well worth the price. As for meats, I can't say, because I only buy organic grass fed meat and they don't carry it..

Very pleasant experience. Nice staff, well stocked, good veggies at good price, meats little high $ but I went for sale items (Good primes on sales) Great bakery, but not MY cheese danish. Overall they get a 5.

Witnessed a lady vaping in the bakery as she packed the baked goods. Told the cashier and she sighed and said she had to go yell at an old Italian lady, not shocked but almost as though this was something that everyone knows happens. Figured that would be a fireable offense. Won’t go back in there knowing you can vape while prepping food and not get fired. Disgusting.
