Down One is a nice BOURBON BAR.  If you're looking for a cozy place to enjoy a huge variety of BOURBON'S, then you'll likely love it.  My wife and I decided to try the place for dinner before a show Saturday evening.  Prices were what I expected for the area/venue, however food was not.  The fried green tomatoes were pretty good, although the sauce wasn't quite "right" for them.  I ordered the salmon entree and passed the sweet potato mash to my wife.  The sweet potatoes were cool to the touch.  The salmon was the blandest I have EVER tasted.  The brussels sprouts were the best part of the meal.  Service was lack-luster.  We were hungry so we ate our food and by the time the server came back to check on the COLD food we were done and ready to leave.  

If you want bourbon, you should probably try it.  
If you want anything ELSE, don't bother.

We decided to give this place a try since the reviews were good. They had plenty of tables avalible and did not seem too busy. We were greeted by a hostess when we walked in. We were seated immediately. After about 5 minutes we started to get a little irritated that no one had taken our drink order. We noticed several employees walk by and look at us but no one came to our table. Another group was seated close to us about 10 minutes after we were seated. After a couple of minutes the server went to their table and took their drink order. Since we had been waiting for almost 15 minutes and no one seemed to care that we were there, we left. One employee noticed us get up to leave but did not say a word. This may be a great restaurant but the service was off this night.

Good location, right down town. A coworker and I attended a social/business event here hosted by a vendor. Good snacks and good beers. Plenty of room to gather in a semi-private area.

Bartender is a true craftsman. Excellent Old Fashioned. Would recommend without reservation.

Hands down the best cocktail bar ever. They have wonderful and delicious creations for every palate. Their whiskey selection is second to none, with bourbon unsurprisingly taking top honors. They even have a selection of Pappy. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff will guide you through the process of selecting a drink you'll enjoy.
