We visited our granddaughter who rents a lovely apartment in a new building on Greene Street right where the bus stops. It's safe and there are some nice restaurants. I'm told that in the right kind of weather they have terrific street fairs. I'm told it's safe. What more can you ask

Great town. Lots to see and do. The Cornell campuses are amazing,. The eye candy architecture is just amazing!! Lots of great places to eat. A brand new Marriott is in town. Just beautiful.

I love this traditional shopping area. Good range of independent shops and really good restaurants. Be sure to look up my favourite hot dog stand. He has been there for years

Can’t go wrong with downtown Ithaca! Great selection of shipping locations, good food selection and there’s a vibrant crowd year round. Which, considering the harsh winters is surprising and makes Ithaca that much better of a go-to City in NY!

The cold black heart of a dying pedestrian mall that is slowly being strangled by the local acid casualties' fear of automobiles. Ithaca has done everything possible to prevent access to downtown by car including overpriced parking that requires finding an pay station far from your car, speed bumps every few feet, and eliminating parking near any destination. And they wonder why nobody shops there. Which is actually not a problem, as there's nothing to BUY downtown unless you are in the market for an overpriced bong. Do yourself a favor and go to Lansing where parking is plentiful and prices reasonable. Let the hippies live in their concrete canyons that blot out the sky... God knows we need more hotels around here.
