The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. The quality/taste of the appetizers did not equate to the prices. The stakes bites were ordered Medium, some were a bit raw and overall had no flavor. For the price, it’s unfortunate for it to be served with canned mushrooms. The Saganaki was well..saganaki. The cheese sticks came with hard cheese in the center, not gooey and the marinara sauce served on the side came cold. The burger came at a good size and the chicken sandwich was better than the appetizers.
First time dining here and was impressed from the minute we walked in. We were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waitress Tanya was not far behind making personable conversation and recommendations right off the hop. Drinks, appetizer, and entree served in quick succession - was a little surprised by the speed as it was BUSY. Food was perfect, I opted for the pork chops and my wife got the chicken club. We both agreed it was an amazing dinner. We will be back, not just because the atmosphere and food were on point but the service was memorable. Well done to all the staff!

Came here for dinner with friends last weekend. The restaurant itself is really cool. I love the layout, vibes, atmosphere and overall decor. Our waitress was also top notch. She was attentive, timely, and always there checking on us to make sure we had full drinks and everything we needed. She was also really funny, joining us with some humorous bantor. The drinks we ordered were really good. These included the espresso martini, house margarita, and moscow mule. We started with a calamari appetizer which was fantastic. For dinner, two of us ordered a burger, one has a corned beef sandwich, and last there was a chicken club. Overall, everyone really likes their food. The one problem we had was half of my burger had so much grease that half of the bottom bun was soaked and mushy. I cut the burger in half and ate the part that didn't have a mushy bottom bun. I'm sure I could have asked for a new bottom bun but I didn't have that big of an appetite so I let it go. Parking: You will have to pay for parking, either on the street or in a garage or lot and then walk to the restaurant. The restaurant itself doesn't have its own parking lot.
It was our first time in Detroit, and what a great find. We had a very nice dinner. The atmosphere was nice, the sever was friendly, the food was reasonably priced and it was great. I would highly recommend the reuben sandwich. It was one of the best I've had in several years. It would be a regular stop if I lived closer. Loved it at Downtown Louie's Grill!
This place was amazing!! Was in Detroit for work, and our last night, we checked out this place for a late dinner before leaving. It was a short walk from our hotel in the downtown area. We decided to sit at the bar instead of a table. I had the Peach Sangria, and it was delicious. Instead of ordering individual dinners, we split 3 separate appetizers. The steak bites were mouth watering, the mozzarella sticks were cheesy and gooey, and last the wings had the perfect amount of sauce and spice. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed!!
I had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. There is everything you’d want! The burger and salad was my favorite. The cocktails were great and they had a really cool upstairs area perfect for private events. Thank you Downtown Louie’s and Grill!! Can’t wait to come again
Awesome service and Awesome food. This hidden gem is is placed around plenty of parking. There is no reason not to try this place. I had the Ney York strip steak and it did not disappoint. Priced to sell without breaking the bank. Every plate I saw the staff bring out looked very delicious. Excited to venture back and try other things on the menu.
Pretty good food in a really nice place with a good vibe and strong drinks. I'd say this is more of a bar with good than a fine restaurant. NY strip was a bit tough for $42. Great staff.Food: 3/5
It was extremely busy. We went before Monday night football. It was a little difficulty at table service at first but once we did everything else went very smoothly. Our waiter was great. Food was very good. Hidden gemFood: 5/5
