I dropped in after seeing they were finally open and was pleasantly surprised. Malden has its share of good Vietnamese spots but look no further for an awesome bahn mi. I had the bbq pork and my wife had the bbq chicken - both were delicious. The freshness of the vegetables was a strong point. I look forward to trying their coffee
OMG!!! This is the best Vietnamese bakery I've ever eaten in the Boston area. This is a family business run by a mother and a son. They are really friendly and they cater to my special needs! The sandwiches made by this mother in particular are delicious. I recommend the beef sandwich and the Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls. In addition to serving some meals, they also make some Vietnamese desserts. I tried the green jelly not sure of the name of the dessert and it was delicious. There are mung beans and sticky rice, and a cup drink made with coconut water and tapioca balls. They also sell boxes of Vietnamese snacks. The place is clean and hygienic and the people are friendly. If you are in malden, don't miss them!
Great banh mi and iced coffee for an even better price. I'm glad Malden finally has a banh mi shop! Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options; almost all items from the Banh Mi and Specials menu are meat-based. Parking: Very limited parking in front of the store.
I got bought two Banh Mi sandwiches for under $15. The bread had a nice chew to it, vegetables were fresh, and the BBQ Beef was very flavorful. Highly recommended.
The owners are so welcoming, which is probably why the food is so good : I got the BBQ chicken bánh mì and it was amazing. The spring rolls were huge. A great addition to the neighborhood. You can park in Walgreens and walk right over.
A Vietnamese friend of ours recommended this place a few months ago and we finally tried their food today. WOW! This place is a hidden gem. Not only is the food delicious, but the prices cannot be beaten. $6 for a sub in 2023? You can’t find better value than that! We bought a similar sub at a Vietnamese place in Boston and paid around $14. We also bought the egg rolls which were amazing as well as a fried cupcake looking item containing shrimp. I really don’t know what was in it, but we loved every single bite of it. We give this place 5 Stars easily. You’ve got to try this place. Seriously!
Great addition to the Malden food scene, finally a banh mi spot! Had the BBQ beef and cold cut combo. Bread was crunchy yet fluffy. Beef was super flavorful, could tell it was marinated well. Cold cut had good flavor, so did the pate. Fresh veggies rounded out the whole sub. Prices were very reasonable too. Would come back again!Food: 5/5
Fresh Vietnamese baguette sandwiches. I frequent this shop often and it has not disappointed. The owners are very friendly and they make your food to order. Great location if you're enroute to the train station. If you've been craving banh mi, I highly recommend this hidden gem!
Sandwich place starting up. I hope they can make it. Got there close to closing -i had a bahn mi, bread and meat were warm good thing; bread and ingredients were fresh. Great sandwich, especially at their price point.
Came on a whim after a visit to Walgreens. We hesitated to drop in coz it was 30 mins to closing and was worried the food wouldn't be fresh. We were wrong, food was fresh and good! Got the Combo and Sausage Bahn mi's. Also got the grilled chicken over rice per the owners recommendation. All were tasty. Portion-wise, the bahn mi's are on the lighter side. Portion makes sense though considering the price. I wish they had options to add pate or that viet mayo-butter, which I am not sure was in the bahn mi flavors we got. The chicken over rice was a huge portion. The box is deceiving as it filled up 2 plates when we got home. Too bad we didn't get to try the Cha Gio as they ran out. We had a nice chat with the owner who is friendly, he shared a tip to come before 2pm for Cha Gio. Prices are super affordable. We would definitely be back.
