Dr. Latta is a very honest dentist. He is friendly, kind, and gentle. If you have anxiety with shots, he will check in with you to make sure you are doing OK, and give you breaks if you need them. He really looks out for your best interest. Dr. Latta will look at your teeth and tell you what really needs to be done. He will lay out your options for you, and help you figure out a plan that best fits your budget. 

I have heard countless recommendations to see Dr. Latta, and I am so thankful that I saw him! I have been going to him for the last two years. The best dentist I have ever been to!

THE VERY BEST DENTIST-  Alan R Latta DDS I am over 50 years old and I have had several dentists do restorations on my teeth over the years.  Dr. Latta is clearly the best dentist I have ever had.  Dr, Latta was recommended by my wife, who works as a registered dental hygienist and knows quality dentistry.  I have worked for a dental corporation, Denmat, so I am familiar with what is quality or not.  If you want the best dentist in San Luis Obispo, you will like Alan Latta DDS.

I am filing a complaint against Dr.Nelson with every dental oragnization i can find. It has taken over 4 months to deal with one root canal. They did such horrible dentistry, i might have to have the tooth removed, and now they want to charge me $600 for it!! Dr Nelson was a bad dentist who has belittled his staff in front of me, rested his tools on my breasts [which he brushed each time he picked up those tools: on purpose or not, it was very unprofessional to lay used and soiled tools on my breasts!] Dr Nelson ground my tooth to a stub, planning to leave it and the surrounding gums exposed for over a month, and they put a post in my jaw that was too big! [I have been told by another dentist that this would have caused another infection if not corrected immediately] Their staff cant even schedule an appointment; once they called 4 times and on a Sunday to reschedule my appointment. They even changed my last appointment without notifying me! By far the worst dental office i have ever been to. I would sue them if i had the money or resources.
