Known Dr Doolin and Beth Patel for years, always respected them till one day I call to make my husband ( who also knew them ) an appointment and the office manager gets on the phone and tells me that I can no longer be a patient there because Beth Patel said I didn't say "hi" to her one day while I was in the office and she didn't appreciate being disrespected like that. I have no idea what she is talking about and I was told that both Dr Doolin and Beth don't want us going there because I supposedly didn't acknowledge Beth one day. The worst part is we were never even given discharge letters to let us know we couldn't be patients there anymore. We went months and months thinking we had a pcp and they were refusing to see us. Thank god nothing serious happened to one of us. Now that my husband really needs a Dr we have to wait over a month to get established with a new pcp. I can't believe after knowing these providers and office manager for all these years they would treat me this way. They could've at least had the courtesy of letting us know they didn't want to see us so we could establish with a new pcp. Even worst, I tried to make an appointment with the manager months before and all she said was they had no openings for a long time, NEVER mentioned I needed to find a new pcp!! I would never expect such unprofessional and high school behavior from healthcare professionals! So be careful you never know when they might just up and decide not to treat you anymore cause you didn't smile at them or say hi.

Trying to find a new dr since I moved to the area, wrong number on the UHC site, when I got the office, couldn't figure out if/when the person answering the phone was talking to me because she was carrying on other conversations, then was put on hold, maybe transferred, not sure. Had chosen the option to "make a sick appt for that day" (ear infection), and chose docs accepting new patients on the UHC search, but was then told that there were no new patient appts until November. Receptionist was rude and blamed the incorrect information online on UHC. Not impressed...

I always have a good experience when going to Beachside medical. The staff is amazing and both Beth Patel and Dina Doolin treat me with care and expertise. I wouldn't trade doctors!
