Dr. Smith fixed me when many others said they could not. I live several hours away from UVA but was told by many local doctors to go see Dr.Smith. He did an amazing job on my back, fused from S1 to T9 but I am walking without pain for the first time in years. I was losing feeling in my legs and couldn't even go out for dinner without issues and not being able to walk before the end of dinner.  He changed my life due to his surgical skills. Also, he's a really nice person who sincerely cares about his patients and does an excellent job of explaining things. I'd reommend him to anybody

Been seeing Dr Smith since 2009, he is extremely courteous, sympathetic, and understanding. Good at explaining things in layman's terms so I understand exactly what he is talking about. He also instills confidence and is quick to answer any concerns or questions at any time. He has performed 3 surgeries on my cervical spine to date, and I can honestly say I have complete confidence in his abilities. I would recommend Dr Smith without hesitation to anyone

I was recommended to Dr Smith by my primary care and couldn't have been happier with the choice. Polite, courteous, and he breaks down the issue to were you can understand and ask questions. If an issue arises in the mean time, he'll take care of you.

Have been to Dr. Smith for my initial visit and liked his professionalism, caring & compassion.  I will be having a follow up, lol, today of all things so will post what I think about this visit to, once I've had a chance to digest the results of my Milogram & CT Scan of my spin!
