I would rate less if I could. His nurse practicioner is AMAZING. I had a failed double fusion, test results to prove it. Even had my bowen center case manager with me. He took me OFF what was working, put me on Embeda, I didn't sleep for a MONTH, called the office, did what they suggested, came in to my appointment, he wanted to UP the med. That I am OBVIOUSLY having an allergic reaction to. BEGGED him to put me back on what worked, he put me on something different again. Went from him, straight to my surgeon, who verified that I am getting worse (rare thing where bones don't grow over bolts or something), which the CT SCAN proved and would have been easily seen an hour before by Austin. I now need ASAP surgery, and my surgeon is calling Austin to tell him I was RIGHT. Don't ask anything, don't expect to get any answer besides "policy states....." (no, it doesn't btw, I read it.) Basically, if you plan on doing whatever he tells you to do with no questions asked, EVER, go for it. Otherwise, save yourself the time and emotional distress, find ANYONE else.

Very arrogant and gives off a lot of racial tension. I would not recommend anyone to see Dr. Austin, and would consider him to be one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered. I do recommend anyone considering seeing this guy that is a white/caucasian male to keep looking for a better doctor. (Yep, I am playing the race card.) I personally believe this doctor enjoys knowing that he controls how much pain and suffering a person has to deal with. I would not even give him a star if it wasn’t required in order to give a review that I think others should read.

Piss poor bed side mannor. I believe rude and racial. Dont listen to you. Perscribes what he wants dont care what you have to say. Id post a zero star if i could. Gl to any new patient!

I had my first apt with Dr. Austin about two months ago. I go back in two days. So far he is really professional and very kind and considerate.

Very helpful. I have seen him and 2 NPs. All considerate and nice. If you have legitimate pain, they will help you. Follows the state laws to a t.
